So this guy is shooting a rifle out in the middle of nowhere. He's shooting towards a tall hill. The hill behind his target was wide and tall. That wasn't the issue.
MS paint picture to help. Guy with rifle is on the far left. The orange line shows the path of bullets going down range.
1.He's got a dude video taping him ahead of the virtual firing line, which is the red line.
I point that out as one of the safety issues. He doesn't think that's a big deal. Camera dude isn't going to get shot at the angle he was standing at. He would have to point the rifle to 2:30 to shoot him.
2. There are also some other friends who are going to join him. They are coming out of vehicle parked to his far left because the camera dude has them on video. The vehicle and his two friends are ahead of the virtual firing line. He would have to turn the rifle to 9:30 to shoot them. So, he thinks they are safe because they are way off to his left.
3. His trigger finger is on the trigger while he was trying to fix a loading issue. Barrel was pointed down range, but I told him he should take his finger off when he's not ready to fire.
He said that he wasn't at a range and doesn't have to follow strict rules.
Was I wrong to point out his flaws?
