That was F'd up...in a funny and weird kinda way.

I will ask no questions.

You're not supposed to talk about it. Didn't you hear the rules?

I highly suggest reading the book, by Chuck Palahniuk. Much more complete, and a little sweeter.

One of the best movies ever.

Love that show. Think I'll plug it in again and give it another viewing before going to bed.

Even better the second time around.

+1

Granted there was more in the book; what ruins it for me is the schizophrenia seemed more "Me, Myself and Irene" than the slick way they pulled it off in the movie.

Don't bother buying the DVD at Blockbuster. The Space Monkeys and I already de-magnetized them.

Wait two weeks, then watch it again.

I agree, the movie is better than the book and the author agrees with us.

One of the top 5 movies of the 90's.

I have the poster in my media room.

8th rule: If this is your first night at Fight Club, you have to fight!

The "subliminal" flashes of Tyler are a nice touch.
Link Posted: 1/19/2006 8:40:46 PM EDT
its one you have to watch a few times to catch everything and look for things that were explained at the end

I see alot of new faces which means you're all breaking the first rule.

BTW, at the end of the movie DO not go frame by frame through that part where the screen gets blurry just before the credits....

Let me just say, remember the prank of adding a frame of pr0n into a movie that was talked about? Don't say I didn't warn you. I was curious and didn't quite enjoy the results.

Edited so no one gets weird...

In the book, This is what Marla Says to Tyler after they have sex the first time.... in the MOVIE she says... "I haven't been fucked like this since grade-school"

I'm glad you saw the humour in it.

Some people have told me that it is a movie about guys fighting....

That is what I thought it was before I saw it. That is what it looked like from previews and the title and even the movie poster.

That's also what kept me from watching it for years. After watching it several times I bought the book.

That was one of those movies where my jaw just dropped.

A similar reaction was in 6th sense when I finally figured out the significance of the kid "seeing" dead people.

It's just a dick dude. I mean... I'm not gay or anything, but damn. Have you not ever watched porn before? Not really that big a deal.

Very interesting movie, but I don't want to watch it again. Too fucking sadistically brutal. I don't feel like subjecting myself to that again.
Link Posted: 1/20/2006 7:26:06 AM EDT
I felt the movie was awesome, a real mind bender. The concepts presented in the movie - not just the big ones - were excellent.

I just wish it wasn't so brutal to watch. The language wasn't great either. I think they could have had one of the better movies ever had it not been so violent. I know, I know, it's called "Fight Club" so I get what I get... I basically think they could have made more money off it. Great "mind-screw". However I will likely never own the movie.

The control over the ad campaign was excellent. You'd think it was about soap and fighting if you only saw the ads for it. Very well done marketing.

A friend of mine thoght it was just a boxing movie. Since he likes those flicks, he saw it. He came back and said "Dude. You have to see this movie. You'll like it."

One of my favorite movies.

i love the fact that fox execs rejected the first line as too offensive, and asked fincher to come up with something else.

he did.

the execs didn't know what the change was until the final prerelease screening.

I thought that too when I first saw it, but you'd be surprised how coherent someone who has shot himself in the face can be. Seriously. That's usually when they start to sober up though.
