I see that many pro-gun people and even the NRA have taken to referring to black rifles as "sporting rifles" in response to the left referring to them as "semi-automatic assault rifles".



Personally, I find the term "sporting rifle" to be more offensive than "semi-automatic assault weapon".



Now I know what you guys are going to say, 'assault weaponz is select fire only and I don'ts owns any assault weaponz!' or 'my guns have never assaulted anyone!'



OK, fine, but for the love of God please stop calling them "sporting rifles"!



The Second Amendment isn't about sports. Sports are past times. Sports are recreation. Sports are diversions. SPORTS ARE WHAT GOT US INTO THIS FUCKING MESS!



Fuck a "sporting rifle"! I've never shot a damn duck in my life, and in the words of my father, I "have more guns than Fort Apache!" I don't know who came up with this horseshit about sporting purposes, hunting and other such BS, but it has nothing, not a single fucking thing, to do with the Second Amendment! But every goddamn time some anti pretends to be supporting the Second Amendment they drag out the hunting and sportsman bullshit. I hate it.



Sporting rifles? The Governor of New York just got the legislature in his state to institute the worst gun ban in America on the grounds that 'no one needs more than 7 rounds to go deer hunting.'



I say again, FUCK SPORTING RIFLES! You think you're fighting the antis with that bullshit term, but the fact of the matter is that you're fucking us up the ass.

I tend to agree, and consider them utility rifles, since they can be used to hunt, compete, defend, or water the tree.

I heard the term "Sport Utility Rifle" a while back, and still have no problem with it.

I like the term "rifle."

In honor of sporting women everywhere, sporting rifles should be left unadorned.

Just think of it as sort of a "back in your face" move to the anti's who tirelessly
