Since 9/11 I have been working 60 hrs a week.
Burnt out...yes. Now I am diag'ed with 3 torn discs. I filed a comp claim.
I was offered a modified job 40 hrs per week Sat/Sun off answering phones for 50K per year.
Those damn discs are the best thing that happened to me. Geesh, life is odd.

You need to see a doctor. You've got your whole life ahead of you and are way to young to throw it all away.

Taxman, life is good. Cheer up as there are better days ahead. Perhaps going back to school or finding something challenging would be more up your alley.

Here is an idea, learn from George Castanza. Do the exact opposite of what you would do.

Well if you really want to make yourself feel better and begin to
appreciate life, and what has been granted to you...I've got a simple
solution, and instant remedy.

TRUST ME...this really works!!!

Throw your carcass into the car, and make your way to the
closet children's hospital that you can find.

After wandering the halls and corridors and viewing just
how tragic your life could be (and your families).
You'll leave their with a greater appreciation for even the
most simple things in life.

What I'm trying to say is that you woke up this morning,
both legs were working...and you were breathing on your own!
Some people would be thankful for that gift alone.

Now...if that doesn't work for you. Call in sick at work tomorrow,
grab your UZI and at least 2000 round of ammo. Spend at least
a half day shooting. Return home, tear UZI apart and thoroughly.
clean.

Life is too short, and there's no guarantee that tomorrow will even
arrive. However, if you're one of the fortunate...it will.

Now forgo, and live!

Course sometimes booze helps, but it's only temporary relief.
Link Posted: 8/17/2005 5:29:20 PM EDT

Life is futile. No one is getting out of here alive. This is all well documented in the book of Ecclesiastes. Check it out. Beyond that the military might be good for you. If not, decide what you want to do and DO IT. This is not a test and you won't get a second chance.

I cant go shooting, no missing any work for the next 3 months.

I need to sell the uzi, one more thing to have stolen and watch the police not even care about looking into it.

Atleast when I get insurance I can take some days off when I break my hand

Just remember to become an organ donor prior to doing so.
Good friend of mine definitely appreciates the kidney and pancreas
donated by the 15 year old girl that took her own life.

He's NO longer diabetic or undergoing dialysis.
His wife can't believe that after over 25 years of marriage
that he's once again able to enjoy her cooking and her baking.

His two boy's are thankful as well.
And knowing both his son's, they'd have gladly parted with
any gun they own in exchange the extra time that they were
blessed with their Father.

You certainly make it difficult to remain positive.

Taxman,
I'm not a shrink, (don't ask me how I know, just assume for my sake I googled all of this) but thoughts of suicide that recur on a regular basis is a sign of something more serious. If you can't talk to people at home or work, or among friends, seek some professional help. If you think you'd be a freak for needing professional counseling or drugs to correct chemical imbalances (or provide an outlet you simply don't have otherwise), then you'd be wrong--because millions of people experience similar things every day, and thank God nowadays they don't have to feel 'off' for the rest of their lives, because we have alternatives today. It didn't used to be that way. The people around us are hardly perfect either, but they can rub off on us too, which sometimes doesn't help. Let me remind you that you have an enormous pile of ammunition, and an entire forum full of people who care about YOU. Those are at least two reasons to remain positive, and keep on keepin' on.

I understand your a respected member of this board and im a newb, but for fuck sakes it seems once a week you post about how bad your life is. Be a man and support your family, if not save money while you live with your parents

taxman buddy, I think i know exactly how you feel.

Bearly draggin your ass outa bed every morning, mentaly cursing the day you were born and the day you were stupid enough to sign up and give your youth to your employer.

Being perpetualy shit on on at the job by your coworkers and superiors. Too tired and or emotionaly drained at the end of the day ta even give a fuck. You ponder the the idea of running in front of a speeding bus more often than than not. Ya wanna keep your job but honestly ya dont give a shit if ya get fired or not......

There comes a time, when no amount of money or job security is woth the hell ya go through daily.

my advice is
1. spend more time with your family and get a few pats on the back from your old man or the S.O.
2.get a different career and a scenery change.

I dont have that much of a family at the moment, atleast ones I deal with, several family members are close to shoot on sight in my book.

I dont know about the respected part but I been here awhile and have posted alot, this falls into being one of the few places I can go talk and somewhat relate to anyone.

For some reason they put up with me here still

Do you have medical insurance through your employer? Take advantage of it and make an appointment with your doctor within the next couple of days. He'll probably prescribe anti-depressants.

Do it.

Taxman, come on dude!

Wake up, get a plan...

I've had friends hit rock bottom before and thought they would bounce back.

You know what most did? They broke out a shovel and dug deeper, 1 took the easy way out.

The rest got better. You have to really want something, right? Set your sights and get going.

Hell, even if you're off target you are still trying.

just out of curiosity tax, how old are ya??
I myself am 32 and am rather lacking with de womenz .

Just a few weeks ago i told the ole slave master of 10 years in so many words to FOAD.
It was taking a toll on mind and body. (depression could easily explain the mental stuff).
Thank god ive got a strong family to fall back on.

Anyway I basicaly said to myself its time for a change before i really hurt myself.
Im currently going back to college to try my hand at getting a degree in medical radiologic tech.

BTW did i say im dyslexic too? School with a nasty case of LD is NOT pleasent

YOU CAN pull your self back up. IMO i think ya got the brass ones to pull it off.

Wouldn't it be a shame if the tree somehow came down with a disease that caused it to slowly lose it's strength and fall onto the house during a windstorm after you left.
