I'm sure they're carefully trying to clean the brass off their shell deflectors right now.

Sounds like they had dry bolts. Nothing a few squirts of CLP wouldn't fix.

Coming from the highpower competition world, I had to relearn the lube lesson when I built my own range and started doing more plinking and blasting. I run my match gun pretty dry and I transferred that over to my "for fun" AR's until I started shooting them a lot more often.
Link Posted: 9/6/2010 1:06:58 PM EST
Uh, you never mentioned shot placement. My gun will shoot poodle turds. Fresh poodle turds.

What brands were the tacticool high dollar rifles that were subjected to the Colt smackdown?

It's random unscientific unprovable posts like this that make me totally rethink my weapons.

Not enough for the fucking my Colt gave them.

Now quit posting in my thread before the IQ goes to zero

How much lube is required to make an AR run correctly? In my experience, not that damn much.

The rails made them jam, or maybe the lights.

No. Definately the optics. I can't tell you how many times I get a doublefeed with my EoTech.

Should have brought AKs. Motor Oil works works fine on them.

I think you're missing the point.

A $3000 weapon that is not properly maintained is a club.

Also actual range time with your weapon trumps having a tactical whizbang gun in the closet 100% of teh time.

Well now your friends have the kinks worked out of their weapons, and have a more effective fighting tool than you.

They should thank you for helping them out!

Vertyx now, you are behind the times.

Very true, guilty as charged. I still have some woodland camo gear downstairs.

I love a 20lb weapon that should weigh 6

Although I have an fal that might weigh 25 with all the whizbang shit on it.

Oh, so you'll miss instead, ok.

this is a very silly thread. Somethng being "kiss" or not has nothing to do with whether you are unable to properly maintain the firearm.

Yeah it does.

You should have seen the looks on theri faces when they opened their pelican cases up and pulled out these pretty ars and all I had was a well worn 6520. They snickered even.

It was a beatdown

I have never had any of my "Tacticool" guns fail to shoot.

Come to think of it I haven't had any of my "Throw down the driveway" ones fail to fire either.

I shoot old aluminum 20 & 30's, SS 20-30's, MagPul 20-30's and even C-Mags and none of tham fail.

I normally help my buddies out instead of trying to make them look like novices.

I bet if you did like 10 pushups a day for a couple weeks you'd be strong enough to carry a rifle with an Acog on it. You can start right now, just get off the computer and try to do 10 push ups. The first few days you can do woman pushups if you're not strong enough.

(My 16" Acog/rails/flashlight AR weighs 9.5 lbs loaded)
