I went to Publix to get a nice big sun for lunch while ago. While standing in line at the cash registers, the lady in front of me hands the cashier a $100 bill. Only problem was, her purchase was only $7. The cashier got out the only $20 bill, her only $10 bill, and then proceeds to start counting out the rest of the change in $5 as thats all she had in the drawer, other than a HUGE pile of $1. The lady gets all huffy and says "I dont want all those fives!" The cashier remained polite and says "I'm sorry mam, but I dont have anymore $20's or $10's. Would you like $1's instead of the $5's?" The lady then gets even more snotty, and says "No, just give me my money back!" At that point I start to get a very stern look on my face, feeling sympathy for the cashier. The lady then looks at me as if to see if I shared her obvious indignation, which I did NOT. I mean come on! If you didnt want a pile of change, then WHY in God's name would you pay for a $7 item with a $100 bill!!?? Noticing my perturbment, the lady then opens her wallet and produces a $10. I noticed it was quite full of small bills. That just about sent me. Are people really that stupid naturally or do some have to just work at it??
