The Dems are gloating that his approval ratings are low.
Nope, I'm pretty sure that this is his last three years. With numbers like these he will have to retire.
I don't think Bush has to worry about getting re-elected... unless the 22nd Amendment to the Constitution is repealed...
If Reagan couldn't pull off a third term then Bush doesn't have a chance.
are your guys retarded?
A president can only serve 2 terms! with the exeption of some past during war time but I wouldn't expect to see it again. You guys need to go back to school or somthing. |
It is a fucking joke. And you could use some spelling lessons |
OMFG, i thought this thread was a joke at first!!! hahahahaahahahahahahaha best laugh i've had all week! |
You mean Bush can only run for two terms?
A number of Democrats have told me he is the nominee in 2008. |
Actually, you can serve up to 10 years. If you are the VP and complete less than two years of a President's term, you can still run twice. (Just being nit-picky. ) |
You need to go back to sarcasm class... |
DAMN RIGHT!
In fact, since his numbers suck so badly he should not be allowed to nominate any more judges! Leave that to his successor...whoever she may be! |
aaahahahahhahahaha god stop! i'm crying here!!! ahahahahaaa |
The Democrats don't think so. Go to DU. |
You are the tard, Moron. Flagrant Sarcasm can't get past you can it? |
Well the 1st and 2nd seem to be on the way out. Why not? |
Last year I urged every Democrat to go out and vote for Kerry on November 3, a Wednesday. |
It wouldn't be so funny if the Democrats are really acting like Bush is running for a third term.
CRC |
Uh. They have been campaigning against his reelection pretty strongly for the last year or so... They know he is in trouble for 2008. |
I figured. Even Joe Biden would stomp him. |

Democrats actively bashing Bush until his term runs out while the actual Candidate for the Republican nomination (whomever that is) gets a pass seems to be incredibly good luck. Those Dem strategists are brilliant as usual.
Hey, even I know that and I don't even live in America (but even if it was possible, I don't think he'd pull it off) Mark |
I think if he handles this hurricane Rita deal better than the other one, his approval ratings should shoot up again and he might have a shot at it..........
They are reactionaries, plain and simple. All they can do is have a gut-level, knee-jerk response to things. No thinking involved. |
Come on guys, let's be serious here. Two terms only. However, what the Democrats are doing is to help destroy Bush's approval rating. Here is why they are doing this: they know that the next Republican candidate for president will not be able to take over Bush's play book. It's going to be a level playing field in 2008. A lot can happen in three years. My guess, despite the War on Terror and two damaging hurricanes, the economy will continue to grow. Iraq will have to be stabilized (or at least more stable) over the next year and a half, and we will have to reduce the number of troops by one-half. (I don't necessarily believe this, but politics will dictate when we begin drawing down the troops and by how much.)
I cant wait unitl later when they claim that their hard work made Bush not seek re election. Come on you know those tards will say it.
Sad thing is , its the Democrats that are trying to turn it into the quagmire they keep saying it is. Any hold up in progress I blame on the Dems. |

100% Agreed |
The 19th guys...that is what we need to repeal... |
thank-you for posting this response. I just knew someone would know this little tidbit of information |
You got a cold link? I'd love to see! |

The point of this thread is too prove the left is still running against G.W. Bush when it's not possible.
That's OK, once again they won't know what hit them in 06 and 08. |
Everytime anyone points out the President's approval rating is low, someone should point out how they had four years to try to beat him. They kept televising four years of democratic debates. Out of nine so called contenders, John Kerry was the best they had. If the President sucks so bad, the party that tried to oust him must suck that much worse.
OK..all jokes aside...here's a real question:
Why re-elect then? I mean, if a president has a stellar first term, why put him back if the general laugh here is "WTH does he CARE what his approval rating is?" I mean, that's what's so funny, really...the fact that the approval rating means squat in the second term. Personally, I think we should remove the 2 term limit. Keep 'em working hard instead of resting on their laurels. I understand WHY it was put in place, but have we, perhaps, come to a point where apathy in the second term (and I am not saying Dubya IS apathetic...but as a nation we may see a second termer with low approval that way) is to the point that if we can dangle a 3rd or 4th term it may improve? |
