Congrats!  I love it when someone sticks it to a money-suckin' insurance company!

Good job!!  Kind of funny how an agency that restricts firearms ownership is just made it possible to purchase another "sport utility rifle"

Still sad that someone got your gun ;-( My father had a mint condition Ruger 44mag stolen. And he only got depreciated value for it because it was old.

Phil,

Did you report that weapon stolen on the website:

https://www.isthisgunstolen.com/

As I too am in seattle, I KNOW you are a WAC member, and probably read about this thru their magazine.

CavVet, thanks for the website, I just listed 7 guns that were stolen from my house in 1994.  I carry a list with all the information in my wallet and always have my eyes open.  Who knows maybe one day...

I did not have any problem with my insurance company on the accessories.  They paid for slings, detachable magagines, including the ammo that was in the magazine, scopes, rings and bases, lens caps and soft cases.  Two of the shotguns stolen from my house were my fathers and his homeowners covered them.

Also in a similar case I collect signed and numbered art work and have them on a separate rider on my homeowners policy.  I was told that the art work itself would be covered under the rider, but the frame would fall under my general homeowners policy.

Good going - glad you beat those rat b*stards.  I hate the insurance companies.  They try and guilt you into spending more money on policies and then they always try and rip you off whenever you actually need to place a claim.

Can I ask where you found the info that you used to beat them?  Do you have a URL?

thanks much and congratulations (get a Leupold) !
