I can't decide.....Tapco or ATI for a new tactical stock? It's a Norinco SKS.

Also where is the best place to get 30 round clips?

I got it out to my range today. I was lazy, so I used my pistol range. 48 yards max.

Here are the results. No plans for any add ons other than a couple cases of ammo and some stripper clips. The previous owner put some kind of peep sights on it and they work great. (He also took off the bayonet.

) All in all not bad for $225.

Targets were shot @ 48 yards. Since I was on my pistol range, I did not have a bench, so I braced the rifle against a tree and fired. My first shots were on the right target and clustered a bit low. (nice inch and a half group however) The next 7 shots found their mark. Needless to say I am very happy with the rifle as is.

Neither of the stocks, keep it original or sell it to somebody who will. And I think you are looking for a 30 round magazine, not a fucking 30 round clip.

my vote is for Tapco... while you're at it, that barrel is to long... Hack-saw and a few minutes should take care of that

You left out the dust cover scope that is cleverly so loose that it self adjusts its zero so you never have to worry about hitting your target.

Leave the wood. SKSs use 10 round clips to load the internal box magazine. Don't fuck with it; that's what works best.

What about the red fiberglass "jungle" stock and the ChiCom police 20rd mag?

I gotta admit, one thing I want to do is thread the muzzle for the grenade launcher. No reason, just for shits & giggles.

I just have a civ market Norchinko, nothing collectible.
