He is tearing the illegal immigrant apologists a new asshole!

This is a side of Lou I've not seen.

The LULAC freak in the red hat tried to play the race card and Lou shut her down.

Thats the only reason Lou Dobbs is tolerable.

eta: He was also the first (and only) major news anchor to break the story on the North American security and propserity agreement.  There's copies of the story floating around on youtube.

Dobbs has been on the illegal immigration war path for awhile now.

He was quite gracious with the old bag who talked over him and chided him.  He showed great restraint.

I dont like him most of the time.  He seems like a brain-dead populist, especially about economic issues.

Yes, that's why I was shocked to see him taking a conservative stance.  Perhaps he's more center-left than I'd previously thought...

I believe he was on John Stewart's show and at the end he tried to make an appeal for the return of a "shared responsiibility" and Stewart said , "sorry comrade Lenin" we're out of time.

Stemming illegal immigration IS a populist position.  Which is why I find it baffling that there is no political party willing to embrace the idea of stemming illegal immigration.  If only one did, it would capture an enormous number of votes, enough to either push the big 2 over the edge or attract enough voters to the fringe parties to spoil the establishment parties' elections in a number of races and thus lend their party and the issue clout....and yet no one wants to bite.  It's so ripe.

Lou Dobbs is Bill O'Reilly in white hair. He does the routine he thinks will be popular at the time.
