I had not heard of these rifles untill I bought this one last Friday at an auction, It looks good for 65+ years old. It is a MARS 115 training rifle that was used by the Nazi Youth. It shoots 4.4mm BB's at 450fps. The BB's are loaded under the sliding hatch at the front of the rifle. It was supposed to replicate the 98k and does a pretty good job of it. I have my 98k in beside it in a couple of the photos and the size and color are the same. The weight of the two is close also. I have the original sling but am missing the cleaning rod.

That's pretty cool. I read about a U-boat captain that kept a BB gun pistol in his cabin.

You flip the safety lever over to one side, then cycle the bolt like a normal rifle and when it gets all the way to the back it catches something so when you rotate the bolt forward it is loading pressure on the spring, then pull the trigger. It has a very strong spring, when it popped it sounded just like my Fienwerkbau 124.

Why would it have (Germany) stamped into it - is that part of an import mark or something - surely it would otherwise say (Deutschland)

OP, we are going to need a video of that thing being shot, stat

Mind if I ask how much did that set you back?

I was kinda wondering that myself. I found pictures of another one.

Venus waffenwerk

Edit:

Found a pic of the marking on a different gun. It does say Germany.
