They were very nice poeple actually. Really, they were.

It was a Jewish bakery / deli place, I had a roast beast criossant.

The store owner actually introduced herself to me, saying I looked familiar.

I was reading Psalm 105 in my Bible while I ate lunch. I wanted to discuss it with them, but no opportunity.

Nice people, good food, a little pricey.

Its sad to think there are poeple out there that hate so much they'd walk into such a shop with a bomb strapped to them.

Thanks for looking.

Yup, it's also sad to think that there are people that would plant nail bombs in front of medical facilities, or kill 100+ federal employees (and some of their offspring) as protest.

Just pointing out that no one group is free of dangerous fringe elements.

As a Christian myself, I find it PARTICULARLY disturbing that these cowardly people would do that to an abortion clinic in the name of my Saviour Jesus Christ, who died to save men.

Corkey and Lenny's Deli, Beachwood, OH- currently 2nd generation of operation is not to be missed.  Sandwich runs about $6 but worth it. Don't go on a Saturday at lunchtime though, you will wait for a table.

Steyr, you are fine with guns, but can be real ignorant. If the blacks go on about slavery, you would cop an attitude. Or better yet, how the early church, murdered so many of us. THe 60s were a bad time with Israel and the world. THey had no friends then, not even the U.S. It is time to forget the old days and move on.
It was a time of Mistrust. We do not even  know half of the deciet from the Johnson years. You are a h, well then you better realize that you are the children of the Jews. Your heritage comes form us. Your savior is one of us. And if you really study Judiasm, his teachings are all straight form the T*r*h and Talmud.
Realize it or not...you are actually a JEW.

Sorry I got side tracked... Deli meats are more expensive, but they are better quality than you get in most places. ALot is made there, goes to say fresh is best.

And as a Jew all our holidays are based on, 'we are still here, you didn't get rid of us, so lets eat' We are freidnly but after centuries of mistrust and hatred directed at us, we are wary. Actually we are the origional survivalists.

And tonite (Friday) is the first night of the celebration of Chanukah. It's a holiday that perhaps hould be observed by all of us who believe in individual freedom, for it celebrates the triumph of a small group of freedom loving people who refused to abandon their belief in one Almighty God; and bow down to the false image of a foreign king.

Something similar happened in 1776, as I recall.

This thought right here recently reshaped my thinking re: Jewish peoples.

I began thinking of them in a "1776" context. I can see how, as we once did, they would long for freedom, a land of their own, and peace.

As we once did.

Still, I maintain my Biblical perspective how they are NOT, based on their nationality, the "chosen people of God," that American foreign policy as it pertains to the Middle East is FUBAR, and that the Jewish gov't is still largely a socialist gov't out of touch with the common Jewish person.

What is murder?

When a government, controlled by people of a certain odd and strange faith, proclaim that there is an absolute right to murder an innocent, and then make it also illegal to even discuss the possibility of saving the innocent's life, what is left?

Some few Americans killed hundreds of poor, loyal soldiers over a tea tax and we call them heros and founding fathers. What will the name be for those who try to save the lives of babies from a ruling supreme court gone despotic?

I dated a Jewish girl for a long time. She was a nag!  But she was the sweetest person you would ever want to meet.  Real softie but a east coast liberal.  She freaked out the first time she saw the black rifle.  And no I am not talking about my dick.  She asked all sorts of ignorant questions.  Then one day I came home, and she had it out looking at it and shouldering it! It was funny.  Food from most cultures is a lot of fun.  Some stuff I wouldnt want to touch but it makes life interesting to eat different things.

Exactly. I know this gentleman who comes into my place of work, who's Jewish, and from somewhere in Europe, and has been to Israel quite a few times.
He's conservative, gun owning, and nothing like so many stereotypical American jews. He calls himself a REAL Jew, not to be confused with the bastardized form of judaiism here in America, where it's more of a social group than a religion.

I got in trouble at a Deli in Boston.  I was stationed at Newport and had received orders to Long Beach.  So my parents and the future Ma Danby flew back saw Williamsburg, Washington DC and then came on up.  Was in Fall '76, waiting for the Freedom trail Shuttle at the Bawston Cawmon.  I says, "A deli, we got some time before the bus."  the future Ma Danby "Would they have bagels with cream cheese?"  (A native Californian, whaddaya want) Me  "Yeah, you want one?"  "Yeah"  My Mother "Sounds good, me too."  My Dad "Whaddaya want to drink?"  So my Dad and I go over come back with the drinks, two bagels with cream cheese and two of them great big pastramis.  One for him one for me.  WRONG WRONG .  "What's that?" "A Sandwich." "you didn't tell me they had sandwiches like that!!"  "You asked about a bagel, you didn't say anything about sandwiches."  "I didn't know they had sandwiches like that."  "It's a deli, what did you think they had?"  "You didn't ask me IF I WANTED a sandwich."  Even then I knew when I was going to lose, no mater how right I was, I was gonna lose this one...

We all had half a sandwich and half a bagel.  I'ld rather have had the whole sandwich.  But Ma and I  been hitched 27 years this spring, I guess she got over it.

(And I had a great pork loin roast at a Hannukah dinner once.  Usually we get brisket.  great brisket.)

Yeah I ate with them ONE time too.....I do private security work. A couple years ago after a THREAT at a jewish school (I wonder why??) I was hired to screen and monitor traffic into a jewish school building in town. Normally I just brought a sandwich and ate by myself at lunch. One day I had some left over shrimp gumbo that I took to eat. I went into the cafeteria and used a microwave to warm it up. I sat down in the EMPTY cafeteria and started eating. After about 5 minutes the "head dick" came by and asked what I was eating. I told him ...he then asked me to take it and leave the cafeteria as the kids would be coming in soon and they did not want them to be around food that was not KOSHER!!! W T F!!! PROTECT UM but don't eat with um! I never went back.....I certainly hope the jews don't take part in our christmas season....[rolleyes] edited to add: I hope "I" didn't come across as being prejudice....
