I'm not doing any Black Friday shopping, unless I happen to order something online.
I don't like crowds.
I don't like lines.
I don't like traffic.

I have never done it nor will I do it.

I'm going shooting Friday, fuck the stores.
Link Posted: 11/19/2012 6:04:34 PM EST
I really don't need anything I can't live without, and I don't go that crazy for gifts.

Not worth it. I want to actually sleep in for a couple days.

Making sure to bring my CCW with me wherever I go...
Link Posted: 11/19/2012 6:06:58 PM EST
Always struck me as too target rich and high publicity an event. My time isn't worth the few bucks I'd save by standing in line with fat mouth breathers.

Consumerism is not my religion. So I will be abstaining from this materialistic holiday / ritual. But may the rest of you have a very merry black friday. I wish you all the best.

Depends on if the wife buys me a gun I'm looking at. I have done it last couple years I actually think its pretty fun Walmart is the only place with lines the sporting good stores, Home Depot aren't busy.

Dear God, no.
Link Posted: 11/19/2012 6:09:26 PM EST
Online only. I'll be at work and I'll bring my credit card with me, in case I find a good deal.
Link Posted: 11/19/2012 6:09:39 PM EST
doing 90% of this year's shopping online and NONE on Black Friday. none.

having lunch with some dear friends and their sweet baby girl... much better experience than all the hoards of people.

I'm going with my best friend to act like assholes and contribute to the chaos. We're not going to buy anything, we're just going to fill up a shopping cart or two with as many of the things that are the most sought after, and we're just going to walk around with them.

Link Posted: 11/19/2012 6:41:48 PM EST
I'll be out back with a lot of ammo creating a lot of brass.
Link Posted: 11/19/2012 6:41:50 PM EST
I see nothing in the ads worth leaving the house! What deals are you folks seeing, that I'm not?
Link Posted: 11/19/2012 6:42:48 PM EST
Congrats.

I haven't done any since 1994 when my first wife dragged me along.

I don't see anything changing this year.
Link Posted: 11/19/2012 6:44:36 PM EST
Yep. Going to attempt to save $150 on a Craftsman Tool set. It's a small town and BF shopping isn't really bad. If I were in a Large metropolitan area.... FUCK THAT.

Black Friday is disgusting. Apparently people aren't that thankful for what they have the day prior.

What can be better for the economy then a bunch of debt addled people running to walmart to buy things made in China, with a credit card?
Link Posted: 11/19/2012 6:45:42 PM EST
I work that day. Not going out to fight crowds after I get home either.

Don't have the nerve.

I've done it for a TV and tools, I am working that day and have not seen anything worth going out before hand for. I do no think we are having any black friday deals on guns so i doubt we will be busy.

Were in a depression. Out of work with no money for shopping.

Earlier this year I got a part time job in a gun shop, I guess you guys can imagine where I will be on Black Friday. I will rename it Black Rifle Friday and hopefully I will sell a ton of them :) Wont be anywhere near the stores.. just working in the shop 10 AM till 7 PM.
Link Posted: 11/19/2012 7:01:16 PM EST
Yes. Cabelas. I only live a mile from the store. .223 55gr FMJ / 500rds + ammo can = $159.00 (limit 2 per customer)
Link Posted: 11/19/2012 7:03:37 PM EST
Cabela's has a deal on ammo we can't pass up so 5 of my buddies and I are foing. It is the only reason I would go out on Black Friday.
Link Posted: 11/19/2012 7:04:10 PM EST
I don't think I have ever bought anything on Black Friday, well maybe beer and deer corn....
Link Posted: 11/19/2012 7:05:02 PM EST

I will be at work Thursday and Friday.
Link Posted: 11/19/2012 7:06:14 PM EST
I am going hunting.
Link Posted: 11/19/2012 7:06:31 PM EST
I hate to say this. But I did some black friday shopping last year.

I was on my way in to work and stopped at BiMart at 0630. I was the only person there. Since they started the retarded black thursday shopping thing.

I have Amazon Prime, If I could get groceries and booze from there, I'd almost never go to stores.
Link Posted: 11/19/2012 7:11:52 PM EST
Never, in my entire life, have I gone BF shopping.

Nope but I will have to deal with it anyway. I live very close to a mall and when it's busy, I have to fight to get in/out of my neighborhood.

Can't wait till Saturday I'm going camping and going to get away from it all, blow off a little steam and relax......
Link Posted: 11/19/2012 7:34:09 PM EST
BF is not for me. Fudge that snit!

I think Black Friday shopping is actually a little fun. Fourth year I've done it in a row! Finish off Thanksgiving dinner, then pack some leftovers for the wait, then off to the lines!

Going - been informed of a couple of unadvertised gun discounts - have to go to work so will stop by on the way.

No shopping, but I'll be in the mix. 12 hour shift on black-friday... I work in retail management.
Link Posted: 11/19/2012 8:11:38 PM EST
Yes but i work until 7am so at least i'll avoid the super-retards

And risk being trampled under by the FSA?....No thanks.

The profit minded could print off and sell tickets for "early entry for EBT users" at a service entrance in the back of the building. I figure depending on how greedy you were you could sell quite a few before they came back around the building after you.

I already have more than I could ever need... I am staying home and relaxing
