Some REALLY Good Songs, but if I had to listen to that while driving at night, I'd fall asleep and end up in the median with a pine tree up my nose.

METAL!

Ouch, I'll give you points for effort, but overall it looks like a 2.3 .

Could be I don't know the actual titles and have heard them on the radio before, here's what I definitely know:

Eddie Money - Take Me Home Tonight
Blue Oyster Cult - I'm Burning for You
Jimi Hendrix - All Along the Watchtower
Tom Petty - Breakdown
The Doors - Riders on the Storm

ETA: Alright, I listened to the whole playlist here and realized I knew these ones but didn't know the name to go with them:

Santana - Black Magic Woman
The Wallflowers - One Headlight

Of those, I'd keep a few:

Santana - Black Magic Woman: Good night time groove.
Dire Straits - Sultans of Swing: While overplayed, it sounds really nice in an 18 wheeler at night.
Blue Oyster Cult - I'm Burning for You: ALOT of their stuff works after dark, and this is no exception.
Nirvana - My Girl (unplugged): Good choice, but Leadbelly 0wnz.
Jimi Hendrix - All Along the Watchtower: A little up tempo, but the beer can slide solo is a perfect night time fit.
The Doors - Riders on the Storm: BEST NIGHT DRIVING SONG EVER HANDS DOWN!

How can it POSSIBLY be the 'perfect CD for driving at night', if it doesn't include the Outlaws' "Green Grass And High Tides Forever"?

Kudos for the Allman tune.

ETA: IMO the Wallflowers suck ass.  The rest have some great talent.

I wonder if Bob Dylan puked when he heard his offspring producing shit like that.

[son] But Dad, you don't understand my music.

[Bob] Wrong. I invented music. Your music sucks.

Also, +1, good call on Allman.

Might I also suggest some of the Tres Amigos?  I personally prefer Jesus Just Left Chicago, and it sounds like it will fit in with your theme, and add a little bluesy feel.
