I saw that this morning. I am not sure if it is a photoshop hoax or the real thing.

In either case:

I bet it's a photoshop.

Me too.

The eye is also too big for the kitten's skull.

I bet it is an internet hoax.

I would guess, and I am not a cyclops expert, that the defect probably affected the anatomy of the head. Besides absence of a nose, I'd venture to say that the brain is probably malformed. The extra volume gained through that might account for the size of the unieye.

Yup, snopes says true!

Also has one of a goat born with only one eye

Apparently the animals born this way don't live long.

Cy, short for Cyclopes, a kitten born with only one eye and no nose, is shown in this photo provided by its owner in Redmond, Oregon, on Wednesday, Dec. 28, 2005. The kitten, a ragdoll breed, which died after living for one day, was one of two in the litter. Its sibling was born normal and healthy
It was Bush's fault!

I agree.  If it had a hormonal defect, you'd expect to see other signs like acromegaly, etc.

Yeah like no nose, and what looks like a human sized/shapped ear?

definatly something off about that.

I'm in Bend, Oregon, the next town over.
We were trying to do a story on this, but the lady wouldn't let us see the kitten...

So basically, I'd believe it if it was in my hand.

When I was younger we were out hunting and found a friendly, starving stray about to pop with kittens.  We took it home and a few days later it gave birth to 5 kittens.  3 were born dead, the other 2 ended up fine.  2 of the dead ones looked normal but I shit you not, though it was not open, 1 had a single eye in the middle of it's forehead.  Creeps me out still every time I time about it.  It was one of those memories that kinda burns a picture in you head forever.

Hey, I never said it was true myself. I specifically qualified my snopes link with "according to" because I don't necessarily believe everything they put on their site.

I'm not discounting it either though.
