I really do love Country music.  I think it is the best ever and do not understand why anyone would not like it.  It really has everything.

There are some very good new Country artists, but I like the old timers the best.

Merle Haggard
George Jones
Buck Owens
Willie NElson
Waylon Jennings
Conway Twitty
Loretta Lynn
Tanya Tucker
Red Simpson
Red Sovine
Marty Robbins
Johnny Cash

i feel the exact same way about metal, yet every time i start a metal thread, the country folk shit all over the thread.

you have to try and see things through other people's eyes.  i never minded country in the past, but while working retail, i heard country 10 hours a day for about 2 years.  i detest the music now.

Black Sabbath
Rick Derringer
J. Giels
Foghat
Peter Frampton
Rolling Stones
Beatles
and a bunch more

I like a lot of it, but much of it is painfully embarrassing to me too. I used to be a big  Hank Jr. fan as a young teen. Now i think he couldn`t be anymore rediculous if he was trying to be, and that go`s for so many of them. Women country singers on the other hand are much more tolerable. *flame suit on*

Hank Jr.

Whats redicuous about Hank JR.

He sings shit that applies to my life, course not everyone is an alcholic and was once addicted to pills

You should love Judy Garland if that is the case...

I just started listening to Dale Watson recently. It's good old-fashioned country music.

I like Chris Knight's music. He's very underrated and he sings about guns alot. My favorite CDs right now.

I hate country but would do Shania Twain in a heart beat... and with her, probably "last" as long.    Okay...the first one don't count.   lol

Hank Jr. is okay, but he ain't his daddy - which granted ain't necessarily a bad thing.  I think a lot of people still expect Jr. to write and sing songs like Sr. did.
