They all have problems, they all have apps that lock up and they all have to be restarted from time to time. If both sides of this argument would just be honest, instead of rabid fanboys, it would be a lot easier to get factual information about the different platforms.
Okay, you just get right the fuck out of here with that attitude, mister!
(Wouldn't it be nice to ask for advice about a product,
any product, without having to wade through two dozen "That sucks" posts?

I'm up for a new phone in about a month and I've been looking at all of them. And despite my dislike of Apple I've seriously considered an iPhone. But it's so difficult to get any real factual information on them that it's absurd. I'll give you a few examples of things I've had iPhone users tell me.
1. They never break
2. They never need to be rebooted or reset
3. My original iPhone 1 is faster than the new Android phones.
4. My iPhone will go for a week with normal usage and not need to be recharged.
And that's just a few. From what little factual information I can gather from the frothing at the mouth (probably Steve Job's cum) rantings, I do believe the iPhone is an excellent device that does seem to get amazingly good battery life (if not as good as the above claim) and has a solid, slick os. My problems with it are several. First it's Apple with their "walled garden" theory of ownership. Next is iTunes and the whole idea of having to sync with a local computer. I could go on, but those two might be deal breakers for me.
And some of the Android claims are just as absurd. For example, "It loads web pages faster than my desktop PC with a broadband cable connection!". The person in question has a Core i5 quad with 8 gigs of memory.
It would be nice to have an adult conversation about the pros and cons, but I realize it's impossible.
