"Skinner:

CNN says there are 250,000 provisional ballots still to be counted in Ohio. Ohio Secretary of State Ken Blackwell says it could take 11 days to count them. The entire political and media establishment is going to Ohio.

This is it, people. The moment of truth. This time, I am not going to sit here in my comfy house and watch this on TV. This time, I'm not going to sit back and watch a bunch of Republican congressional staffers in button-down shirts and loafers shut down the process. Fuck that.

I have a tent. I've got my health. I've got a car. Now that the campaign is over, I've got a shitload of free time. I have a website that gets tens of thousands of people every day. "

Oh shit... a bunch of DUers are going to sit in a tent in Ohio and bitch!
LOL

I hope it rains!

Ohio is much more squared away in their election process than Florida, they have clear standards and their boards are evenly manned by Dems and GOP members.  Given the huge gap in votes between Bush and Kerry, its a pipe dream for Kerry even think of winning.

well now CNN projects only a 2 point lead between bush and skerry.

Is it 250,000, 140,000, 125,000, 100,000 or what? The number of provisional votes to be counted?

I live in Ohio and you are right.

Ohio is not Florida!

Ohio's laws are clear and the state Supreme Court is republican.

I live near Youngstown, Ohio which is heavily Democratic. Bush still got 37.5 % of the vote.

If the provisionals are at that level for Kerry (62.5%) there is no way Bush can lose.

Also, the news media isn't telling the whole story on provisionals. We have had them for at least ten years. If you are registered and move from one address to another in the SAME county you can cast a provisional ballot.

I expect Kerry to take the provisionals with 55% to 60% of the vote. To win, he needs about one MILLION provisionals. It isn't going to happen.

FYI OSP only has jurisdiction on the roadways and state property... most probably would be other agencys dealing with them...

I think I figured out Bush's stategery for Ohio.  Much like Iraq, he is drawing the terrorists to fight there in the same way he is drawing all the scumbagambulancechasers lawyers to Ohio so he can kick ass in one place

Ohio only has 147,000 provisional votes. That is almost exactly the gap between Bush and Kerry, which means that IF all of the provisional ballots are valid AND all of them are for Kerry, it would be a close tie.

Bush is the winner.
