i didn't go to the link but we have pretty big carp here..not those huge jumping ones that get 4ft long though.  i've hooked one around 20lbs before.  i live in the st louis bay of lk superior.  good fishing here.

Holy shit! Those things are getting four or five feet off the water. (15 pound fish!)

I wonder if you could combine fishing with skeet shooting? (Sishing? Fkeet?) That would be a sport I could get into. [:D]

There was a 38 pound large-head Asian carp caught in one of the lagoons in Chicago, last week.
From the blurb I read, there's a lot of concern about the damage these fish will do to other species. They're supposed to devastate the food chain.
