The reason that I bring this up, I was home visiting family, and was trying to explain to my little sister what this place is all about. I really couldn't come up with words. I don't think that it can be defined. It seems to me that it cant be explained, it's more of an experience.

Oh, the memories. I think I have witnessed all those threads. This place is great for everything, news, politics, tech, general info, and don't forget relationship and legal advice, well....... maybe not legal advice. I have been here since 04, and my post count sucks, but it is better to keep your mouth shut and appear like an idiot, than to open it and remove all doubt.

Basically, it's like one huge, dysfunctional family. You have the salt-of-the-earth types, the people who think they know it all, a few people who really do know it all, the kooks and weirdos, the smartasses, and the people who just need a good ass-kicking for no particular reason. Even though they can be blunt, tactless, crude or cruel to each other, they're family nonetheless - which makes them better than the general public.
