One of our shop guys just microwaved a hot pocket for 20 minutes, not 2 minutes as recommended on the package.

It made it about 6 and a half minutes before the noxious smoke coming off of it alerted everyone that something had gone really wrong.

Kitchen was FULL of smoke, and offending hot pocket and paper wrapper they are cooked in looked like they may have caught fire.

We put huge fans in the office, and got out all the smoke, but it still reeks.

Recommmendations to help get the smell out? Remove/change air filters is where I'm going to start.

So he likely didn't actually microwave it "for 20 minutes?"

Already sprayed through two fart sprays - the hawaiian smell didn't touch the burnt ass smell.

No receptionists - order direct from the owner.

He said she'd be pregnant in no time.

Microwave a human poo for 20 min and you will no longer smell the burnt hot pockets
Link Posted: 4/20/2017 2:08:12 PM EST
I was gonna say, "Move your office out of your mom's basement," then I actually read the OP and saw that this was a real thing. I got nothing. Open a window; maybe turn a fan on?

Did you make the shop guy eat it as punishment?

Commercial building, windows are non-operable.

I also learned neither are our smoke detectors.

Get some salmon and cook for 87 minutes in microwave. That should remove any nasty ass hotpocket stench.

That is a good start. You might be able to rent a ozone machine but no one can be in there while it is running we usually run ours for 12 hours on the weekend at places. If it is really bad call a fire restoration company

ETA> Washing the walls will help a bunch too

Frebreeze and a fan.

The putrid smoke soaks into porous surfaces. Ceiling tiles, dry wall, carpets, cork boards, cardboard, upholstery. You're in for a fun time getting the smell out. I recommend you bring as much stuff outside and let it all air out for a while when the forecast predicts a couple days of good weather.

Our daughter did the same thing with poptarts. I cut up a bunch of lemons and put them in a Tupperware bowl with water and microwaved hit. It took awhile but it got rid of the smell.

Someone in my office has brought fish three times this week and stunk the place up.

Get a can of Ozium for your office. It works.

I would drug test the guy. Had to be high as f to even want a hot pocket? And then put it in for 20min. Lol. We have had burnt popcorn before and it doesn't go away for a while.

One time I put a bag of microwave popcorn in the nuker and ran back to my desk to get something, maybe my phone. On the way back to the kitchen someone asked me to help them with something on their computer. I completely forgot about the popcorn until the burnt smell filled the entire call center.

They made a rule of no more popcorn after that.

I never did tell them it was me that did it.

Nuke it from orbit - It's the only way to be sure.

Actually this. I had a roommate in college and all that pencil dick PlayStation addict piece of shit would eat was hot pockets and ramen noodles. Place fuckin stunk. I wouldn't even bring women to the room. Motherfucker smelled like rotten goat ass. One night the suite mates and I gave him a bath.....nasty fucker.

Flush the toilet.

That's how I usually eliminate the smell of a Hot Pockets encounter.
Link Posted: 4/21/2017 2:12:53 PM EST
Ozium works but makes the place smell like a hospital. Try Odoban if Ozium doesn't work. I've used both with success.

Hoooot pocket!

Toss 4oz of ling cod into the microwave for 5 minutes, that should do it.
