How do I add an icon to a CD-ROM when I burn it? I like how a factory CD has a cool icon next to the drive letter instead of a generic CD. Does anyone know how to add this to the CD when you burn it? I use Nero burning ROM ver 6.0

Thanks!

That is a function of the autorun part of the CD. There are free autorun programs out there. In the .ini(I think) file you can specify the icon that you include on the cd.

I  hope this helps.

You need a file called "AUTORUN.INI" in the root of the CD

It should be a text file.

Inside, you'll put:

[autorun]
Icon=iconfile.ico

Then also copy the icon file to the root directory.

For security purposes, most uber geeks turn off autoruns.
