Just got home from a long winters eve and soaked in a piping hot tub for 1/2 hr.
Nutten better than a hot tubby, for me anyway.

Uh, never just a regular bath. Laying in a tepid pool of my own filth just does not do much for me.
I do occasionally use the whirlpool tub, if I am sore from a bike ride or workout. |

Bad memories for me. Used to get baths as a kid, I was the youngest so I was the last in line. Memories of dirt grinding around under my butt cheeks...

Been in this house for going on 14 years, I have never even looked for a drain plug for my claw foot tub. Showers only or this guy. My OCD wont let me soak in dirty water.

A hot bath does help with the arthritis after working outside in 20 degree temps for 10 hours. Also shower after bath to wash away the filth.

About every other week; or whenever I blow out my lower back at work.
Hot shower first to scrub off the grime, then a long soak in deep water, hot enough to make your skin red and your face sweat. Usually accompanied by three fingers of Bulleit over ice, which is used to wash down a couple of Excedrin. Yes, I know this is brutal for your liver, but the back pain just melts away. |

When I played football five days a week minimum. Now that I'm older only when I'm sore from building or breaking shit, no regularly occurring interval.
If soaking your sore muscles after engaging in such activities as football or construction projects is gay then give me a rhinestone tiara and call me Liberace.

Last one was over a year ago. Pulling a Nailhead out of a junk yard Buick. PSA. holding up the tail shaft
while kicking away the exhaust that just got hung up can tweak your back something awful. I always take a shower after though, don't like to marinade in my own herbs and spices. Found pic of said back buster.  |

Take a book in with you. I love doing that. I will sometimes stay in up to 1.5 hours. I add hot water as needed.

Rarely. Sometimes the ol' arthritis acts up, so on those occasions I like to stew until the meat is ready to fall of the bone. Then I must shower afterwards to rinse away the film of sweat & grime.

I really fucked myself up in a mountain bike crash a few months ago.
Epsom salt baths while drinking beer helped. As a competitive cyclist (stay off the roads  . You don't pay taxes ) the bathtub is one of the best things during the Fall and Winter.
The cement pond is great during the Spring and Summer. Although, during late July and August, the bathtub is probably cooler.
