Know a guy who offered to sell me one, says it's mil surplus and he's slightly used it.  Said if it still works and holds a zero he'd sell it to me, what's a fair price?

ETA:  It's not just a random guy, I know him well and he's legit, knows quite a lot about guns.  Could have misunderstood him about the mil surplus part, but that's what I thought he said

Surplus.... sure it is....

When did surplus become code for "Stolen government property"?
Link Posted: 11/1/2015 11:34:02 PM EDT
It's stolen.

There's no such thing as a legit milsurp Aimpoint.  There were a few that got out during the Lawguns debacle, but I figure they'd fall into the same boat as those Eotechs.  If it dies for whatever reason, Aimpoint will confiscate it when sent in for warranty work.  That's best case scenario.  It's more likely that it's just a "fell off the truck" special.

I'd stay away from whatever that guy is selling.

Its either stolen military equipment or hes claiming surplus just to get you to buy his ragged out piece of crap.

Eithervway, he's lying.

He's not a shady guy, he's legit, known him for a while, worked on my guns and is helping me put together my AR, knows what he's talking about.

Anyways, that's what I though he said, but I may have misheard him.

Point still stands how much are used ones worth?

It's worth somewhere between 2 and 8, give or take.

The unit of measure is not c-notes.

About 250-300 for a well used Comp M2. If you can snag it under 250, you're getting one hell of a deal.

Just shorter, but still very good battery life.

Not really bro. The Comp M2 is a solid optic, same as the comp m3, 4, and T-1

Power knob likes to shear off if dropped.  Older/well used ones, the knobs are usually pretty loose and sloppy to begin with.  Other than that, not really.  It's an Aimpoint.
