The, Why is it... thread got me thinking about the varied prices of booze from lpace to place. In my little hick town, a beer is $2.00. How much for a drink at your bar?

$2.75-3.00 bottle

$1.00-2.00 tap (draught) beer

$ .50 tap beer at a certain bar during happy hour, awesome!  Can't afford not to get drunk at that price.

Villiage Tavern (my local bar):

$2 domestic bottle. Shots are about $3, as I recall. I think happy hour is .50 off all drinks, but I could be wrong. It's a small town (pop ~2000) bar, so no fancy stuff. They about threw me out when I asked for Knob Creek.

My standard drink is between 11 and 13.50 depending on the bar.  Double patron, neat.

It's Northern Virginia.  Everyone except me a a few of my friends are multi billionaires.I have seen $7 for a draft.  I would guess $4 is average.

lol I've been drunk twice since March 19th of 05.  I got drunk that night cause I married the bitch that morning.  The other time, bout 6 months later, I got drunk that night cause I left the bitch that morning

3-4 of those and I'm good spread over a couple of hours.  I like GOOD liquor, I don't waste money on cheap shit.  If I'm just gonna get drunk, I'll take some good ole fashioned Appletons rum please  FROM Jamaica, not the shit that's bottled here with the appletons label.

Depends on where ya go.  Hang in the Quarter, expect to get gouged, hang Uptown, pretty reasonable--$3 to $5 for most non-well liquors, $1.50 to $3 for most domestic beers.  Hang out in the Ninth Ward, though, and it's a heck of a lot cheaper.

I've got the tavern that's like the bar from cheers, where everyone knows your name.  2.50 bottles, 4.50 small pitchers, & I think 5 or 6 for the big ones.  But all they serve is Bud & Bud light.

Then there's the trendy 'brewery' where it's about $4.50 a pint but the beer is just delicious.

Think about that.  Delicious, delicious beer.

The bud will getcha buzzed & is something to drink when you play pool, but the other is delicious.

Slightly off topic:

I went to two games of the World Baseball Classic last year in Aneheim CA. I paid $12/each for beer.
Needless to say, that was the only beer I bought at the Stadium.
