Hi all, just wondering what does it cost these days to fly, ship, or truck a 442 Muscle car from the state of Texas to the Northern part of California. Is it a few thousand dollars or alot more? Surely someone here on Ar15 has done this in the past, and if so what was your experience. Who would you recommend?

10 years ago I shipped a car from Socal to Louisiana and it cost me $800

Hmm...Hey thanks guys, 800.00 dollars does not sound all that bad. Even though that was 10 years ago since you shipped a car Wolfpack I figure that price has doubled or tripled.

Depending on what muscle car it is I'll do it for free.......no guarantees you'll see the car again though

good luck getting you car on time or at anytime for that matter after you contract someone to ship it. car shipping companys are the lowest and dirtiest scum on earth, they are all liars!!

Tell you what. I will go to Texas on my own dime and drive your car up to NoCal for gas, $1000, and a plane ticket back to NW AR (XNA). Give me some notice though to put in for vacation.

seriously, why pay someone else to do that? youre buying a muscle car for crying out loud. make a road-trip out of it, because that would be half the fun of getting the damn thing.

My Father will drive it out for the measly sum of 800$ plus the cost of a plane ticket back to DFW, and Gas. He is retired and needs the $.

I was quoted about $2500 to transport a 69' Firebird from Detroit to central NC about two years ago. Said it would take weeks with no definate delivery date. We borrowed a trailer and hauled ass on a Friday afternoon to Michigan. It was an awesome trip even though we basically drove non stop there and back. Just consider it an adventure!

For what it would cost to pay someone to do it, you can buy an open car trailer and do it yourself.
 I sold a Camaro race car to a guy clear across the country a year ago. He wanted it delivered in an enclosed/sealed trailer. I charged him $2250 to get it from Reading,PA to Bellingham, WA. MAN... What a ride THAT was. |

Most auto-hauler companies charge anywhere from $.35/mile to $.50/mile Depending on if you need a covered trailer or not

I had a '78 k5 BLAZER Shipped from Socal to DFW 4 years ago, cost $700 or so. Can't remember the name of the company, but they were base in DFW and they are nationwide.
