Same as the other thread about firearms, it got ME thinking about how much ammo you guys have stocked up on. I'm curious as to breakdown also....5.56, 7.62, 9mm, 45acp.....
I have approximately : 5k 223 3k 308 2k 7.62x39 5k 45acp 3k 9mm 5k 22 rimfire |

I've got quite a bit but my inventory is about to be reduced 'cause I'm going to shoot up some cans, plastic bottles, and clays in about an hour.

The dupe police came after me when I asked this question last month
I store it in the garage so the weight won't be on the floor joists.

1) More than I need but less than I want.
2) Every time I go over 5000, I have to go shooting, (5000 per gun[;) |
You people with less than 10,000 rounds need to get on the trolley....
Defnitely alot. Not as much as I want, more than I "need" according to many folk. I could easily supply a couple squads of infantry with 5.56 though. |

The only time you can have too much ammo is if you're swimming, or on fire.

1k surplus 223 showed up yesterday. Another 2K should be here next week. 1K 7.62x39 on backorder from SG. I need more!!!

About 1,000 9mm...
Maybe 500 - 600 .45 ACP... 200 or so 12 gauge buckshoot&sloogs... 500-something .40 S&W.. 200 .357 sig... Something like 1,500 .223 Rem... Maybe 50 .357 magnum... 200+ .44 magnum... 3,000+ 7.62x39... 1,000 or so .22 LR... Maybe 500-700 .22 magnum... And about 400 .50 AE's... Now if I only had mags for all that... |
Well let me check.
8 rounds of .22LR and 7 rounds of .38 Special. |

Just like the last few times this was asked, I don't have enough!
I probably have over 40k, but at least 15k of that must be .22 I think.
You need to add a place on the poll for broke ass college students like myself who can only afford to buy some and then shoot what they buy in the same day. I probably have a full mag for my pistol and a full 30 rd mag for my AR and thats it.

where's that happy dance gif....
I just caught a deal friday, totally by accident, from an unlikely source. My local army-navy store is notorious for alot of things, and his comparitively high prices are one of those things. He has a little of everything, though, and is a really cool guy to boot, so I still go in there to shoot the breeze if not to stock up on stuff. Anyway, to cut down a long story, I overheard a guy buying a couple of boxes of Q3131A ask about the "case price". The response was $4 a box if you bought the whole case [from a $5.50 by-the-box price]. I did a quick bit of math on the cash in my pocket, and when it was my turn, I said I wanted 4 boxes, at the $4/box price. He sputtered a bit but sold them to me. When the total was rang up, it was $50 more than I had figured, and I bitched. He came back that he had made a mistake and had to charge $4.25 per box because costs were up so high. Well, gents, I haven't seen Q loads for less than $6 a box since before the hurricane, so I whipped out the extra U.S. Grant, and I am now the proud owner of 4 more cases of Q3131A!!!! I know $225 cases of Q3131A arent all that special or really that cheap, but the sad fact is that with every local place charging $3-4 per box for Wolf, and $5-6 for brass, this was a screaming deal. So far I have missed every time that an online retailer has gotten cheaper ammo in, and with shipping, the price isn't always much better. After I left, another friend of mine told me that when the owner called up to re-order those cases, he about blew a gasket when he found out what his new cost was [apparently much more than I paid]. I guess I should lay low and not visit his place for a while, 'til he cools off..... |

Just my personal stuff.....or the keys I have that allow me access to the county's ammo too?

Ummmmm.............I just lost all my ammo in a tragic Kayak Collision.
