Rifle-2500 at Prarie dogs, 500 at paper and other stuff(varmits mostley) 500 handgun, and one shotgun shell so far this year, but it was good for a 20lb. turkey with a 9 3/4" beard. Hope I get time to shoot one more of those shotgun shells.

I end up getting a bug up my ass, and spend everything I have on new "toys" with almost nothing left over for ammo.

I can't get the "hysterical crying" smilie to work for me, either.

What gives?

Wow. (rough math)
62,075 a year
about 1,200 a week
You would have to shoot around 170 rounds a day.
(62,000, divided by 52 weeks, divided by 7 days)

And this wasn't even a military or LE application(reloads). You still are only half way to the Mall Ninja's totals. 400 nightly

I can only fire about 60 rounds on the weekend before I get bored. Usually about 30 weeks a year(wheather). That would make my totals about 1,800/yearly.

I guess I could do more, but I go for group size, not brass pile height. It takes me about 4 hrs to fire those weekly 60 rounds.

The year that I did this I bought 60,000 primers and most of them were gone.I shot three and sometimes four times a week.I remember having three 2# coffe cans of spent primers.I was looking through reloading records and added up the totals for each year.I am getting ready to build a new reloading room/gun vault.Siffting through all of my stuff trying to decide what to get rid of and cant find anything I want to turn loose of.                                              If any of you have a room do you store your firearms vertical or hang them horizontal

Wow you guys shoot way more than me.  Since I'll be doing a lot more competitions this year, I suppose I'll be doing a lot more.
Last year, 1700 rifle, 700 pistol and about 350 shotgun rounds (mostly trap).

This year I've expended nearly 1000 rifle rounds, over 1100 pistol, and 15 shotgun rounds.   Kinda slow I know, but I'm broke paying for a house, wedding, car, etc., etc., etc.

[:)]  Hey, "rttc" and "sfoo".  You need to get your wives involved in this shooting thing and then with one common pass time (I am talking shooting) you will have all kinds of support for the bucks it costs.  Reloading is the only way to go, as far as I am concerned.   I don't think of shooting in terms of the cost of ammo anymore.  [^]

Until this past year my totals were pretty low. Now That I got 2 AR's I seem to be going through a 1,000 rd case about every other month! An average day at the range I will fire anywhere from 300-700 rds of ammo pistol, Rifle & Shotgun combined. If I had more free time and money I know that number would triple at least...

Not as much as I want, but in average I'd say 5000 rifle; 1000 pistol; 500 shotgun

i shoot about 4-5 rounds a year out of the pistol, sometimes more and sometimes less, it mostly depends on current criminal activity in the area

Waldo 7000~24.5x10lbs=2857.Where the hell is the divide sign on the keyboard?
Since I dont have the time to shoot like i used to,I've been buying toys also instead of ammo. But now that I have a lot of firearms when I go to the range I take too many.I goof around trying to decide what to shoot. So the last time I went i took one rifle and broke the extractor on the first shot. This was after I drove an hour to a 300yrd range.Next time Ill take 2 maybe three max.
My sister used to work for a ammunition company so i got real good deals on componetes thats the reason I could shoot so much in a year.

Bullet guy--

She's just now getting into it.  Still on the 10/22 for now.  Now after shooting the 12ga. slugs...she might not want a larger caliber gun.

But she'll add probably another 2000 rimfire rounds and a few hundred centerfire as well.
