With an honest and realistic answer? Legit push ups.

My best was 20, though I was never terribly fit. Working on that now... |
in one set? probably 40 or so, 50+ if done PT style, with the rest in prone position.
In a row? Twenty then would need a rest then maybe next set 12-15 and so on. I'm old and have shoulder issues right now.
At present about 30 in a row. Do 5 sets of 20 daily, tried 30 but with my screwed up neck and back the strain gets to be too much joint wise. Muscle good to go.
Scoliosis SUCKS. To clarify using the handlebars you put on the ground allowing you to go lower. |
Probably thirty. I was doing more a couple of months ago, but I have slacked off. I am starting again tomorrow. Seriously.

Thirty-something.
I'm working on it. Quoted:

I just did 25 good ones at in service....Head up, chest touching this foam cube they came up with.
I stopped before muscle failure because no bonus for score. If I went to muscle failure I could probably get 40. |
In a row, not sure. But I can do over 60 in a minute.
Halfway in I have to kneel and shake out my arms to keep going though. |
Right now, probably 5, I just got done working out.
Tomorrow morning, probably 30ish. |
86-100 with PROPER Marine Corps pushups. none of those sissy ones you see on youtube

I used to try this routinely. I aim for at least 70 in a row on the first set. Second set usually falls off a lot from that number.
No idea. Havent done a push up in over a year. Did four sets of dead hang pull up today though: 17/9/8/7 then seven sets of deadlifts.
Local fair on the last night of it. I stopped at the USAR booth. To be in the running for a nice pack you needed 35 good pushups IIRC. I knocked them out and asked how many others had in the 2 week fair. The answer was 2 others and I was 45 Fat weak Americans.
Not many right now. Chest and shoulders are tore up from a workout yesterday. I do three or four sets of 20 with my upper body day. In a row I wouldn't get too far. But I've only been working out with weights/ body weight for a few months.

Haven't done push-ups in a while. Did 63, rested then fell on my face after 30 more. Now my face and tits hurt, thanks arfcom.
The majority of arfcommers can do at least 20 push-ups? I guess we're not fat, lazy, cheeto finger stained slobs after all?
I have been doing a pushup workout for a couple of weeks, so I know I can do 65 at one time. I've done a total of 300 today. Usually 30 at a time.
When I was 21 I could do over 50 no problem and maybe 80 - 100 at a time if I really tried. 21 years later I could maybe do 30 if someone pointed a gun to my head.
I've always done push-ups chest to deck. Last week I did 97. My personal best is 102.
I do 50 3x a day every day with little effort. I haven't gone to muscle failure in a while. Last time I did I believe I was in the mid 70's. So probably somewhere around there.
~50 if I hadn't done bench presses earlier and the heel of my hand/wrist weren't recovering from a burn.

I might get 20-25 if I had to. Ever since I've quit doing manual labor every day I've become fat. View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted:

Ever since I've quit doing manual labor every day I've become fat. It's not too late to get back in shape! One day at a time. I put on 10 lbs over the winter. It can creep up on you faster than you can lose it. |

I can do 50 and I'm kinda fat. (20lbs acording to BMI calculator)
Maybe I could do more, but I give up at 50, I don't want to break a hip, or poop my depends again. Last time I had to use my life alert. |
AF pt max is 67 so that's the most I've tried to do. Probably can't do much more than that in a min.
46. Took a PT test at work on Friday. Stopped at 46 since that was above my max. (Also maxed my sit ups, pull ups and run).
Our test is push ups / sit ups in 1 minute. Pull ups no time limit. 1.5 mile run with age and gender categories . |

Let me put down this slice of pie...
no, I'm almost done with this slice then ill try... wait, there's more pie... |
50 nose to the ground from a 26 year old father who likes beer lol. It's the winter I haven't had to do a whole lot lately physically. Summer time I lug logs around as a little side job and am definitely in better shape.
I completely goobered my shoulder (scapula actually with a comminuted fracture (thats where the bones are shattered like a dinner plate)). I still cant draw my 60lb bow and any pushup currently would be 1 handed. I could prolly do 3 of them if my life depended on it but I just checked sick/injured.
