Spent the morning sorting my fired brass catch-all bucket by cartridge type. As always, came up with a goodly number that I don't own a gun for, and I thought to myself 'Self, how many pieces of brass constitutes an impetus to buy a firearm capable of shooting said cartridge?' So, GD, I ask you - how many pieces of brass before you get the urge to go get something that can shoot it?

Today's random non-shootable-in-this-household cartridges are .30-30, 38 spl, 357 mag, 38 super, 40S&W, 44 mag, 7.62x39 and 300 WM.

Sadly, I haven't found a decent deal on a .30-30 since I started collecting firearms, I have zero interest in 40 S&W, and I have a buddy with a 44 mag that I've shot enough of to know I'll just shoot his on the off-chance I get a hankering for it. Wouldn't mind a 38/357 or a 300 WM bolt gun, though
