We got hosed here in MI because we have "open" primary elections. You don't have to show your voting preference to vote any way you want. Which is fine, unless what happens here happens to you.

We had 2 fairly solid (R) candidates for Governor, (Cox and Hoekstra) and 1 guy who's views were totally unknown, probable RINO (Snyder, who has a clever campaign and nothing else).

The Dems in MI saw the writing on the wall after 8 years of our mongoloid idiot (D) governor, and knew that even the fence sitters would vote (R) in the actual election in November, so they decided to vote for the (R) that they could live with easiest. Which is Snyder. So we had the chance to get a great guy in office (Cox), or even the next-best thing (Hoekstra), but instead we Conservatives get hosed.

The reason I bring it up is because I'm concerned about the possibility that some of the Tea Party winners were voted up so they could get slaughtered in November by the (D)s.

Food for thought.

arfcom believes the Tea Party candidates are going to win.  Apparently Delaware is ready for a conservative.

I'm hoping the Tea Party candidates win too ... That said... I'm not sold, just based on getting screwed here at home.

Actually, Delaware has a legitimate choice between two very distinct candidates. They will not have to choose between the lesser of two evils. Which way it goes is entirely up to them for once.

Are you referring to Republican and Democrat...? Because that will always be a "lesser of two evils" decision.

No. Between a conservative and a democrat.

I was referring to the fact that you have two very different schools of thought to choose from now instead of they are exactly the same except for X. Which seems to be the republicans preferred choice in a lot of races. The people for better or worse have a legitimate choice in which direction they want their senator to go.
