Ok, I am pretty new here.  How many of you are from southern Wisconsin or (gasp) northen Illinois?  Are there enough to have a meet?
OlyM4gry, you're the area, no?

Cool.  I have a friend that doesn't visit forums, he shoots at a subgun match they hold every couple months over that way, in DeForest I think.  Were do you shoot?

I may be away from the forum for a day or two, but I'll be back to check!

I either shoot at the Stoughton conservation club, or in my yard (pretty big yard)

I'm from southwest Wisconsin originally and currently live in the La Crosse area.  I would be interested in a shoot and may be able to gather several others.

I'm from the Fox Valley area. Local clubs in the area have a considerable amount of high power service rifle matches (most reduced course).  Five clubs, from Appleton to Sheboygan, hold a summer service rifle league with team and individual awards.  Nicolet up by Green Bay holds 200 yd. matches almost every month.  Ripon Gun Club holds informal 600 yd "belly" matches during the summer including F Class configurations (scopes, bipods, etc.)  Almost all these clubs will send your scores to the NRA in order for a newbie to get classified.

"FIB'S"???????.......NO!! Get it right it's  "FISH"   I'm from northcentral IL.  I've lived in WI and also have spent an ungodly amount of $$ on non-resident fishing and hunting licenses over the past 15 years.  My buddy "up nort" has ordained me an honorary cheezehead.  Just so there is no hard feelings, you can come down the tollway, pay your .40 and visit anytime you want!

FIBS = Fine Illinois Boys.

What's the problem?  (Sorry Cheeseheads, I have way too many friends from Northern Illinois!)

Now those who come to visit (or worse, retire) from Chicago, that's a different story........

OK, I am back.  Kewl...looks like we got the makings of a pretty decent little group!
This is one of the reasons I joined this board.  There aren't many people that I know of in my area (between Madison and Milwaukee) that shoot black rifles and like shooting and moving at steel and sillouettes ;>).  Most shooters I know 'cept one or two are straight hunters and I clean thier guns for them once a year LOL.
I don't know if I can make the Memorial Day shoot in Illinois (might have to work) but I would like to get together at some point with some fellow shooters from the forum. (beer)
Also, maybe in the future we could band together and bring someone good to the area for a carbine class, if we can find a range to do it...:>)(heavy)

I wonder if my anime will work....
Let's throw another one in: (newbie)

Feel free to email me guys.  I'll save addys and stuff.  Right now I gotta run, gotta be in Almond WI at 1400.

GO PACK!!!!!:>)
You Illinois guys...I forgive you ;>)  I have relatives in Joliet.

Ok guys, I saved some of your email for future reference.  Don't get too excited..I ain't looking to spam or stalk anyone.  I am also running PC Cillin 2000 and Zone Alarm so I doubt you'll be getting any virii from me either.
OK, now I am going to post about how to make the anime show up!!
