My buddy was doing a report on militia activity in modern America and came across the following sites:www.angelfire.com/ar2/militia/ and www.arkansasmilitia.com/.  He told me they where toting unregistered FA Stens and 1919A4s, and openly admitted doing so, along with posting pics of said activitys.  They also sent letters to the ATF amoung others admitting them doing so.  What do you guys think?  Fake?  Or just a matter of time til the ATF goes after them?

The Washington County Militia (AR) has been around for a coon's age.  If they were or are doing illegal activities, they would have come down on them by now, surely.

Either that or the ATF realizes the media shitstorm and logistical headaches of taking on a militia armed with full auto weapons who are just itching for a fight.

Bah.  Their headquarters are easy to find.  Just go past the Idustrial Park for about 10 or so miles, its on the downside of a hill.  Concrete block building on your left.  If they wanted to take it down, they would have.

So are they being dishonest about having Stens and unneutered belt feds?

I wouldnt' know, but I imagine if they were it would have been in the papers by now.  I haven't even seen their name on anything in a paper.  As liberal as this area is, I would think they would be screaming about it.

They posted their "argument" about legallity... and it derives from the founding fathers own words and statements and laws....

today in America those laws, intentions, and ideals are eroding away faster than we can fix em....

although I'm in no millitia .... they HAVE EVERY LEGAL RIGHT TO ASSEMBLE THEY WAY THEY ARE.... weapons "violations" well another story...

Oh boy, well these guys make the state look great...

Seriously though, Its probably a good thing that they are open about it.
Its the ones who are hiding something that you have to worry about.

I know for a fact that there are more than a few places that are far less open scattered about the Ozarks. There are still some compunds that would be difficult for the whole of the BATFE to risk entry to. Tell your friend to search out the ones near Marshall, AR if he feels like risking it.

I believe in the 2nd amendment, but i dont believe in letting folks of questionable background run free and unchecked to commit other crime. If they are on the up and up and open about it,then I see no problems.  If they are robbing banks, selling drugs, or kidnapping and murdering then some one needs to drop a JDAM and get the stand off overwith before it starts.

Maybe the ATF gives Group Discounts to Militia full auto registrations?

If I sat on a jury for them I would nullify....gun laws against the 2A are ILLEGAL.  It is too bad that they will probably die...and in the meantime a collection of drugs and kiddy porn will magically appear to discredit them as being otherwise law-abiding citizens....

i would bet the atf might leave them alone, due to the following: ( at least till they do something really bad like a bank robbery )

1 they have declared their exsistance as a militia to many .gov, so that may give them some kind of "rights"
2 they have declared their right to exsist as a militia, which has not been challanged by any .gov so it makes the constitution directly appy to them ( at least in how the .gov reads the second )
3 they have admitted that they have said weapons as a militia and stand as a militia not as individuals, if i remember from something i saw on tv about them they have said the governor can call them up for duty if he desires

simply put the way the .gov reads a few laws may make it hard to use any gun laws against them due to the way they have declared them selves. look at it this way the .gov says the second give the rights for militia to have weapons.  militias are state level and we know the national guard has FA weapons, so they are a militia ( by their own statement ). their title as a militia that has not been challanged by the state, so until the state says no your not the fed .gov might realize they might loose any case the .gov brought against the militia based on how the laws have been used before

These guys are the poster boys for Arkansas Militias.  I guess a better way to put it would be that they've intentionally been built up by a lot of them, in order to keep attention off the serious ones.  I think they are sacrificing a few to the wolves.  I know of many others that laugh at groups like this.  See above reference to Marshall, AR.  DON'T go wonderin through woods around there.

Another group you don't hear about is the Posse Comitatus. From what I hear, the Feds want nothing to do with them. They probably have a few people undercover, but the Feds still want nothing to do with the Posse. Talk about a powder keg!!

The 40 Undercover members have been trying to bust the one non-undercover member, but so far the undercover members are the only ones who have broken any laws.

It's too bad one of these groups couldn't get itself a prosecution (not wishing it on them) that could make it to the SCOTUS on second amendment grounds.

In light of the precedent of USA vs. Miller, it would be real interesting to watch them squirm around this one!

That's quite interesting. That is what Illinois skeet shooters, clay pidgeon poppers, and some hunters say about people who choose to own semi automatic military style rifles in this state. I find it interesting that some gun owners still wish to appease and curry favor with those that would infringe on whole categories of individual liberties by changing their social appearance in order not to "look bad" to the opposition.

Strange, that is, unless they happen to agree with them?

Naw, that's real simple. They just have 4-man teams descend upon the members while they're at work. I doubt that the members even pack guns to work, let alone their supposed full autos. Easy to do, with minimal chance of organized resistance.

As long as they declare their existence, and act as an "organized militia" and not a bunch of thugs, I've got no quarrel with their existence. While their supposed FA weapons may be illegal, they shouldn't be. Illegal yes, immoral no.

In any case, they are likely infiltrated. Fedgov is good at that at least.

I am pretty sure that neither the ATF or other LE agency is afraid of a bunch of arm chair warriors. More than likely they would have  already picked them up one at a time if they had violated the law.

Full autos are legal in Arkansas. No reason to believe these are not legal or that one or more of these guys are Class III dealers or C&R colletors.
