I sent mine in yesterday.  I've been told expect up to 3 months.  I hope it's sooner than that! :P

Just shy of 6 months. I think it depends where you are located.

First time was about 45 days.  Renewal was about 30.  Location does make a difference.

I got mine in something like 10 days. 10 actual days, not buisness days....

I was licensed about a month ago.

I wonder why it varies so much?

From what I understand, the ATF has people who are dedicated to specific regions, and those people are the ones solely responsible for issuing the licenses in those regions. If that person has a lot of applications at once, or if they are out sick, or if they are hit by a bus, it can impact the time it takes to get your license.

Ah...well if I recall correctly, I had to mail mine to Georgia (probably the same place everyone does) hopefully they are kind to us Missouri folk!

Mine came out of the Atlanta office, It took about 2 weeks.

I just renewed mine , got it in about 12 days. The lady in the ATF 800 number office was so frigging nice and helpful I couldn't believe it. I told  her that,  and she acted like she was bored with hearing it. "You know, I get that all the time. "

They tell you three months so you don't get impatient. Best .gov experience ever.

I believe being in FL helped as well as listing my CCW for the hunting license requirement.

Does anyone have a link to the necessary forms?

Do you just fill out the forms and send them in, or is there more required?

HOW TO GET THAT C&R! - UPDATED...

Quoted:
Here is a copy of the first page (actually Copy 2 - CLEO).  I had already filled out Copy 1 - ATF (its the same)

Its four pages (two double sided) and I believe it has to come from the ATF (mine did), since there is no option on the ATF website for printing it.

There was no citizenship form.

These pics represent the entire package I received from the ATF (plus a receipt merely stating what they sent).

I received this package last week (I had requested it approx 1.5wks before that) and it is labeled:

ATF Form 7CR (5310.16)
Revised May 2005

in the lower right hand corner.

Photobucket automatically resizes so it may be a bit difficult to read.
