No.  If you're worried about motor neuron disease, don't be.  The more focal the fasciculations/muscle spasm the less likely it is related to ALS.

I get them in other muscles sometimes as well. My left bicep will have twitching fits as well. Sometimes for a day or two. This has been a week though.

I get this from time to time as well, usually in my arms and face, sometimes legs and other areas.

I have had crap like that since I was 14.  I had the current from the ignition on a tractor go through my chest.  Never for more than a day or so, and it used to happen alot more.   The twichin is going away as I get older, but getting replaced by a facial tic.

Hmmmmmmmm, I did receive a severe electric shock 10 years ago. I wonder if that has anything to do with it.

Are you under a lot of stress, anxiety can cause muscle spasms.

About 5 1/2 years stressing out going to college being flat broke and the following couple years living paycheck to paycheck caused be to started my eyelids twitch.  Then it expanded to the muscles in my legs.   When I finally got promoted to GS-11 and financially got back on my feet again it pretty much stopped.   I still get twitches when I get stressed out.

I finished a degree a couple months ago, and am under some pressure to start a career.

Try one of them little zappy boxes with the sticky pad on the end. Need to get it back in rythm.

Most muscle spasms/cramps are caused by a lack of vitamins and minerals. Stress and so forth robs your body of the essentials which makes them worse. PM me about the cure.

If it were due to ALS then you should also experience weakness.  It is rare to see the twitches without the weakness, although as the disease progresses the twitches go away.  From what you posted it sounds like you are under some stress, even if only 'subconscious' stress.  This will make the nerves more likely to fire on their own which causes the muscles to twitch.  A week is nothing for this.  They can go on for months and I've seen one guy, a vet, with a condition called Benign Fasciculation Syndrome who's calves looked like a bag of worms and they'd done that for 20+ years.

While nothing can replace a thorough history and physical, unless you have other symptoms I would take a watchful waiting approach to this.

+1 Start eating bananas, taking vitamins and drink milk. potassium and calcium are vital in the process of muscle contraction and relaxation.
