Dude four houses down is mowing his lawn at 9:30 PM. WTF?

To those who agree with me WTF. Fine

To those who say I'm crazy, I'll break out my $4,000 double bass drum set and spit out a two hour solo in front if your house at 12am.

Who the hell in a subdivision does this shit?

Mowing the lawn under headlights sucks

Play your drums at 9:30 pm 4 houses down, fine. Midnight might be the way to quickly lose 4 grand.

Are you trying to sleep or something?

What does your city and/or HOA admnistrative code have to say about the noise?
Link Posted: 8/30/2015 9:01:11 PM EST
More than half the time I'm mowing with headlights but I'm in the country.

When we were in a rental in town I mowed a few times wearing my Fenix headlamp. Fuck it. We don't all work 9-5 with sat and sun off. Me mowing at 10pm is the same stress you cause me when you mow at 10am on a Saturday.

It's dark, it's loud, and I guess I can play my drums then.

not that uncommon if you have daytime temps close to 100+

He won't think it's too late until somebody talks to him.

My answer would be after sunset.

Grass needed cutting the other day. I was just gonna do the front yard. I got it done and started on back yard but it got too dark. Not sure what time it was but for me it was cool outside and I had time.

Usually in subdivision hades, weekend 11 is quiet time, weekdays 9-10PM.

Not worth going to start crap with neighbors IMHO.

8pm.

One off? Eh...

Consistently? Worth having a conversation over.

I run in those temps. They are weak as hell to not ride a mower.

9:00 PM, 10:00pm on Fri & Sat seems right

maybe needs to just get out of the house to do something, his partner is driving him crazy perhaps?
Link Posted: 8/30/2015 9:06:11 PM EST
I did that crap at night wearing nightvision one time lol. No neighbors and there was going to be an outside wedding the next day and we were running out of time. It was actually really easy as the shadows made it as easy to see where I had cut better than daylight.

9pm for outdoor power tools.

I always felt a little self-conscious when I had to make "one last cut" with my tile saw at 9:15. Tried not to do that too often.

About an hour or two before dusk, the dew starts falling. Not good for cutting grass.

Yep. I've done it a time or two myself.

Sometimes there's just not enough hours in the day.

If this is the worst you've got to deal with OP, you've got it pretty good.

Not taking my kit outside. Never was part of the deal. Might as well add I shoot an AR up in the air.

How long does it take to mow a 1/2 acre lawn? 15-20 minutes, tops?

So what.

Why not do a 20 minute skeet shooting session?

If its a rare exception, no big deal. Maybe it's going to rain, or he's leaving town, etc.

If he regularly does it, beat up the weakest member of his household.
Link Posted: 8/30/2015 9:14:45 PM EST

Whats the point then?? I can start a lawn mower in my basement any time. No fucks given.
Link Posted: 8/30/2015 9:15:05 PM EST
So you are 4 houses away and you can hear it inside your house?
Link Posted: 8/30/2015 9:15:22 PM EST
is it a regular thing with this neighbor or no?

if this is the first time, turn up your TV and move on.

930PM is not late in the night at all!!! Your comment of playing drums at midnight is a completely different thing. Go ahead play your drums at 930, it'd be fine!

Noise is noise. Choice is a choice. This neighbor has the time and money to do so in a proper manner.

I got no problems if you don't live 30+feet to a neighbor.

That is weird but then again a few Fridays ago as I settled down on my computer at the late hour of 11:00 p.m. I was wondering what that strange monotonous noise I was hearing was.
Sitting in the house I thought a lawn mower.
Upon rising and walking outside I realized someone several houses away on the street behind me was in fact cutting their grass.
Who the fuck cuts their grass at 11:00 p.m. on Friday night???

A neighbor mows his lawn, pa rum pum pum pum
Our annoyance we post, pa rum pum pum pum
