[ARCHIVED THREAD] - How high can you stack full .50 Cal cans full of ammo?

Without permanently distorting or damaging the seal? They are petty tough, but there has to be a limit, 3, 4, 5? For clarification, full of military boxed 5.56 ammo, not commercially boxed where there's a bunch of empty space in the box.

I've got fat-50s 5-deep in the basement.
But they aren't full of loaded ammo.
They are full of 50 cal bullets.
Aprox 60 pounds a piece.
No indication of deformation.

I have them 4-5 high, no problems.

After 3 or 4 they seem too unbalanced to leave standing, but I dont think that its so heavy it would affect the structure or seal...they just dont interlock well enough.

+1 I stack them 3 high, but not because I'm worried that it will destroy the seal but because it's easier to get to one of the lower cans if I need to. If I stacked them 6 or 7 deep it would be easier to buy another case of ammo.

I've stood on the closed tops of 2 of them, one on each foot, I weigh about 165lbs. no problems.
