I just cooked breakfast for several.

4 lbs of bacon in a stove top fry pan.

Everyone had their own suggestion on how to flip bacon in the fry pan.

But my way was the best.

How do you do it?

tongs.

Use a fork, tong or your fingers, the thing to remember is to turn it AWAY from you.

Chopsticks.  Once you learn how to use them, they're pretty handy.

Fork
Link Posted: 11/18/2008 7:59:17 PM EDT
A fork or a pair of tongs. Whatevers handy.

Fork, but I do not stab it. I slip the bacon between the the fork tines and angle the fork to lock the bacon in place, if that makes any sense.

If you dip them in flour before you throw them in the pan, they don't stick together and don't roll up. Then just use a fork, thongs, tongs or other method, but using you tongue is not suggested.

Get a Foreman seriously cook .5 lbs at a time twice as much as the pan and drains off the fat faster allowing the bacon to get done in half the time. I usually cook 1lb for two BLTS can be done start to finish in 15-20 min

That's why you start your bacon in a cold pan. It won't roll or stick.

Put your bacon on a cookie sheet with a lip, place it in a 400 degree oven for about 20 mins and it will be flat and crisp. No need to turn it. Bake your Bacon!

4 lbs of bacon.  Thats a lot of bacon!  Yum Bacon.
Link Posted: 11/19/2008 8:45:55 PM EDT
I use my ballsack as an oven mitt, one nut on either side of the bacon and then cough and twist.

Please, for the love of God, don't post a video on Youtube.

Actually, this could be a reliable form of birth control.
