Stolen probably.  Unless they somehow dropped it out of a car window or something.

Why?  Is he behind on his dog shooting quota?

He is just protecting those dogs...  Or is that serving them.  I can never remember.

i live in a small town.  several years ago a friend was going hunting, forgot something, put his 6" colt python on the toolbox of his truck, ran back into the house, ran back out and drove off.   got about 2 blocks away and realized what he had done and circled back.   the python was gone never to be seen again.  happened in '75 and he is still sick about it

More than meets the eye.  They are looking for someone who is willing to turn in a Glock for a reward.

Somebody posted on here a couple months ago about driving off with one on the roof of the car. Didn't lose it though, IIRC.

Nah dishonesty has never gotten me ahead in life, nice thought though.

A LEO in the neighborhood where I grew up put his revolver on the roof of his car while he put other stuff in there, then drove away. It fell off in front of our house, and a kid on the way to school picked it up and brought it to the door. My dad returned it to him. (Knew him well).

Same thing happened here in the county where I live.  LEO lays Glock on car and forgets about it and drives off only to remember it later.  Massive (for our county) LEO search for gun but to no avail.  It was found 2 years later by some guy weedeating the ditch in front of his house, he turned it back in.  The LEO who taught my HCP class used the returned Glock for demonstration purposes.  He talked about how they just cleaned it and it ran fine and how it had no rust or anything, can you tell he was pro glock.
