Got a real estate website that I need to come up higher on the search engines.

So far I got meta data & linking to and being linked to other web sites.

What else hive mind?

Thanks!

The usual method is to pay the search engine website
owners, and they will be more than happy to put your
site at the top.
The other is called Search Engine Optimization.

Google it.

Frequent updates of your content... the more your content changes the more the spiders will be there. (or supposed to be) Keep adding stuff to the site, make content like articles, real estate news, guides, etc.. The more content you have the better. Diversify the content too, cover topics like house inspection, mortgage, intrest rates, getting a bank loan, how to buy your first home, etc...

Linking from relevent, related sites. The more real estate sites that link TO you, the better. If you can get big-traffic major sites linking you, thats good.

Google is the 900-pound gorilla search. Both of those are just about useless in Google. Getting to the top of the search engines is a highly paid professional skill in itself.  Take it from someone whose web site has been at the top of Google consistently for many years.

The short answer to your question is:

1) It will take you a lot of work to get to the top.

2) It won't be worth your time to do it.

If you want to know more -- well, that's part of what I get paid for.
