Have some fairly decent equipment for stereo stuff, but never really have figured out how to get the best FM reception.  All I'm using right now is a piece of wire hooked to the tuner.

At the very least, what length should the wire be cut?  And what are my next options for better reception?

Thanks.

TV antennas work good.

For home made antennas calculate antenna length here.  Center frequencey of the FM band is about 98.5MHz.  Antenna lengths should be about 120", 57", or 28.5".
