Well, my basset hound puked up what looked like part of a mole on the sofa about an hour ago, but I think you've got me beat.

You are supposed to spread the guns and ammo out on the boat, other wise everything piled up at one end of the boat will sink it.....

All of my guns were in it. The Sheriff called it a tragic boating accident...

That is less than optimal.

Um.....is it still on the trailer.....attached to the vehicle?

This happened just a few yards down the road from my place. Kinda messed up the rest of my day. Especially the kid. The others are up in the ICU unit where my wife works tonight.

No more boat in the front yard of the trailer park

The boat is safety chained to the trailer which is hitched to the truck. The back of the truck is open letting over $12k worth of spey rods and tackle float away with the current.

What happened?

Looks like someone left the vehicle in neutral or reverseor the parking brake didn't hold. Dayum.

What happened? We pulled the boat out after a day of fishing. My buddy set his parking brake and put the truck in park on a steep ramp. as we were loading the truck we hear a loud bang and the truck starts rolling. Multiple loud bangs from the tranny as it accelerates down hill. I got the door open and was about to jump in and hit the brakes. I realized it was moving way to fast and I would end up in the drink with it..

What did we do? What could we do? We just shook out heads and laughed as we call the Sheriff. Still going between laughing and crying over loosing my favorite spey rods...

With water temps right around 42 degrees I will need a little more than fins and snorkel... Add the current and I am not interested in the swim. The sheriff said he would need about 100 lb of weight to get him down. He also said he would start at the ramp and try to dive for our rods. He must be a fisherman...

Holy hell.  I retract my previous statement.  Sorry for your loss.

Use another boat and a weighted drag?   Work a couple hooks up and down the river?

I laid in the rain looking through a PVS14 in the rain trying to kill some varmits, and saw nothing.

You day was bad

How long did it take to get the vehicle and boat out?

Well you can drain the fluids, but the interior is shot along with some electrical things.

Just read it was a Lexus

sorry about the rods, hopefully the insurance will cover it.
