Just found out about two unplanned pregnancies today.

One is to a married couple, and while it wasn't planned, it happens. For all I know they did use protection, but couldn't beat the odds.

The other woman who is pregnant is not married, is not dating the guy, and wants nothing to do with him. Apparently they used the "pull out" method.

Now, I know it's both their responsibility, but seriously. She is the one who's going to have to live with the pregnancy, and the child if she chooses to keep him. Why didn't she at least tell him "wear a condom or you ain't getting any pie!!".

Now, about him. The woman says she's not gonna sue him for child support, but I hope she does. then hopefully he can do the cost/benefit analysis of pull out vs. condom and realize how cheap latex really is.

Stupid people piss me off...

now I know why my great-aunt was againt Birth Control. She figured only the stupid would procreate, and we'd all be outnumbered. (Yes, the second woman is a socialist whacko democrat.)

I've come to the conclusion that 'Birth Control' should not be left entirely up to the woman. Regardless of what arraingment you may have with her, pills can be accidentally missed

, diaphrams can become dislodged, and any other number of failsafes can and will fail.

So after I fathered all the children I intended to, (ONE) I went out and bought myself a vasectomy, no more muss, fuss, or worry. The upside is I now get all the 'pie' I want, and should the day ever come that I don't get taken care of at home, I don't have to worry about any little basturds running around calling me daddy!!!......

People are really stupid about things. Women and men just get this feeling that they are infallible and that nothing will happen to them, so they start to lose using forms of birth control or they get more leniant about it to where like you said they do the pull out method, which in no way prevents you from getting pregnant. I don't even know ... not really sure what to say. People are weird but hey to each their own.

I think reverse sterilization should will be the savior of our society. Genetically engineer babies so that you have to have fertility turned ON at age 18, only after passing a strict common sense test, including caring for a small dog, a hamster, operating a car, holding down a job, etc.

There will be a standard list of disqualifiers, such as:

1. Owning a rap album
2. Buying an Apple computer, or a Volkswagon (this will eliminate liberals from breeding)
3. Attending a professional wrestling event
4. Watching network reality TV
5. Reading a book on Oprah's reading list

Yes, I understand that, and in this case, she's being especially stupid, since she just wants to let him walk. She needs to at least name him as the father so that he can be held financially responsible for this child, even if he doesn't want to take part in the child's life.

My ex would always forget to take her pill. Well I almost found out the hard way, when she missed her period for a month and a half. The gyno said that it was probably a miss... Needless to say after that I always reminded her everyday to take that shit. I also stocked up on Trojan-enz and made sure I always wrapped up whenever I went any where near there. I am so glad that I learned my lesson without the complecation of a child. At the time I would have happliy married her. Wow was I stupid! She turned out to be a headcase with baggage a mile long.

Well, personal expeerience here.

My wife (girlfriend at the time) got pregnant while on birth control, continued to have her periods (regulated by the birth control) which she kept taking right up until she found out she was pregnant at SIX MONTHS.
Sucks to be on a diet, exercising, and not losing weight, go to the Dr and find out you're pregnant.

It happens.

It's definitely both people's responsibility. If a guy doesn't want a baby calling him daddy, then he shouldn't leave it up to the woman. It goes both ways; there are morons in both genders.

Hubby recently agreed to me having my tubes tied - but only after my oncologist warned me not to get pregnant for at least 5 years. Before that he was dead set against it. I kept telling him, dude, we have four kids and I'm not getting any younger, enough is enough.

That's how hubby and I got our second child. I was only 3 months along when I found out, though, the nausea finally gave it away.

I agree that b/c is the responsibility of both partners. Seriously, was the guy who consented to the "pull-out method" really any brighter than the girl? We'll see him on Jerry Springer in a few years.

Wife's sister and cousin both got pregnant on the pill. A college friend of ours got pregnant because the vasectomy failed... after three years. If God wills or your luck's bad your going to get pregnant. OTOH the pregnancy rate when using precautions is relatively low. When not using precautions pregnancy is almost garanteed. We've used rubbers, pills, rythm, and now vasecomy they all worked for us so far. The most important part is to not cheat the system. In this case cheaters always prosper.

Sometime in the early 60's or so my Mom and I were having a discussion about condoms (which was about as close to a sex talk as we were ever going to have). She told me I had to be careful as sometimes they had holes in them so you couldn't count on them 100%. I thought it was just so much BS and told her so. About that time my little brother came in the kitchen, she just nodded in his direction and said "There he is, living proof".

Don't think for a minute I didn't get a lot of mileage out of that one when it came to giving my brother a ration of shit. That reminds me, I need to call him today...

+1 on this one. That's how I got #3. Was on the nuva ring, had at least 1 regular cycle until the puking gave it away. I think MsGH was the one that said it best...life is what happens when you are busy planning for something else.

My friend and his girl just went through this. The only good was that I became a godfather. Thay had her monday night . best looking baby I have ever seen. Not really i think babies look aliens. So who knows sometime good comes out of it.
