Just asking. How can the federal government demand that we have to do a background check on private sales. Is this not a hindrance if not an infringement?

Unless firearms are registered, how could any background check requirement ever be enforced?

In theory there was probably a 4473 form filed on it at some time unless of course it is a family heirloom that was never transferred through a dealer since 1968.

There have been a lot of unconstitional laws and Executive enforcements since the civil war and before.
