Can any of you find out where a screenname/AOL account is being billed to? (without a warrant)

This is serious. A good friend of mine is getting scammed.

Any help or advice is very greatly appreciated

Not legally unless it is your account.

That is why you always get someones real name before doing business with them.

Your friend got owned.

Have your friend contact the police and lodge a criminal complaint against the scammer.  With the e-mail evidence, the police can get a search warrant for the contact info for that account.

Does your friend realize he's getting scammed, or is he still hooked by him?  Either way, set up his e-mail so that the scammer's e-mails are set automatically to the trash or some other holding folder for the police.  No sense in your friend continually being assailed by the e-mails.
