How Many Sodas A Day Do you Drink and what do you call it in your neck of the woods? Like in the northeast they call it pop. In the north they call it coke. Out west they call it soda.
I call it soda and have about 3 a day. |
everything down here is a coke, whether its a pepsi or a root beer, we dont give a shit
but me personally, i cant even finish a whole coke, just too damn sweet for me, beer however i can drink all day long, and often do |
We call it soda here. The water from our resevoir tastes like crap due to all the chemicals they put in it so I drink sodas almost exclusively. I go through about one 2-liter bottle per day.
I use to drink about 5-6 a day until I gave it up cold turkey almost 2 years ago.

It's pop, and I chose the last option because you didn't add a line for zero.
Haven't had pop in a few years. It's beer, coffee, water, or (if I'm feeling gay) red wine or black tea for me. |
I drink about 6-10 a day. Pretty much mostly what I drink. Putting my dentist's kids through college.
I used to slam TOO many every day until I decided to lay off it about a month ago. Now I average maybe one every other day at most.
Really, I feel better. For one thing, MY BLOOD PRESSURE IS DOWN AND STAYING DOWN. I'm also less excitable and seem to have a longer attention span. I certainly feel a difference, and it's a difference for the better. Everyone should try going without for about two straight weeks and see what a difference it makes. CJ |

Way, way too much. I probably consume about 750 - 1000mg a day in caffine. That's a 20oz cup of coffee and a minimum of 6 diet Cokes. But considering it is my only serious vice, and if I quit I get splitting headaches and lethargic, well, I'll keep self medicating thank you very much.

ZERO. Absolutely none. Water and unsweetened iced tea only. Maybe a half glass of juice every now and then.
zero. i have the occassional once but i make sure its caffeine free. its pretty addictive stuff too, because if i have a coke one day i feel like i sorta need one the next

Quoted: ...Out west they call it soda... View Quote Like ColonelKlink said, we here waaay out west call it pop. I refered to a carbonated soft drink as "pop" to a waitress in Kentucky while visiting relatives, and she said "Ya'll ain't frum round here are ya?" |

None! I only drink water. Water is the only thing that really tastes good to me. I will drink orange juice or a beer once in a great while. I am so use to drinking water all the time that anything else will not quench my thirst, it just makes me more thirsty.

I don't drink soda every day. Just once in a while. and when I do,it's Diet Sprite! I either Drink Water or Mandrin Tangerine Koolaid. Yummy!

Maybe 1 a week, if at all.
I've kicked my 24 pack a day habit... ADDED: Oh, and I make the distinction between my drinks instead of stereotyping them. |
Less than one a day. More like one, or maybe, two a week. Dropped the one (or more)-a-day habit a couple of years ago.
I grew up in SW Nebr. and we called it pop. Most in western Colo. seem to call it soda. |
I average 2 1/2 liters of Dr Pepper a day.
I did drink 5 liters of Dr Pepper one day, man did i get sick. |
zero
i like them but i have never been able to drink them. they make me have zits, and i am 42 |
4-6 and i have cut way back trying to wean my self off cola as I need to lose weight and Soda/pop/cola is also not good for you.
You have NO spot in the poll for zero , nada ,Zip.
I would rather have water next on the list would be beer |
I'm from NYC and we never called it "pop". Some of my upstate friends call it pop and when I went to school out in Oregon most people called it pop.
I used to drink 5 or 6 a day, started a low carb diet and now it's only diet soda. Helps keep the weight off. Marty |

Quoted: pop? In Boston it's called tonic. View Quote We've been out west for 20 years, and my parents still call it that! I try to stick to just on 20oz Mt Dew. But it usually ends up at 2 or 3. |

3 or 4 Red Faygos a day.
Its called pop around here, arent they called pop machines?? [;)] |
Soda, in my case Dr Pepper. I try and hold myself to 120 ounces a day. I don't touch any other form of sugar. No donuts, cakes, candy, etc.
Related note, I don't touch coffee. Nastiest stuff on the planet. Can't even stand the smell. Iced tea, (Sweet please) with meals, but that's a cultural thing here. |

Do you realize that there are like twelve spoons of sugar in each 12 oz. can? 120 spoons of sugar a day is sure to eventually send your pancreas into a PANIC. You should back off because my father says that shoving needles into your ass each day to stay alive isn't exactly fun. (Insulin, for diabetes.) Once I found out how much sugar is in a soda, I stopped feeling guilty about dumping "only" five packs of sugar into a glass of iced tea in a restaurant. Since backing my Pepsi habit down to less than one a day on average, I feel better and my weight is already coming down. Try it. CJ |

I usually drink the diet stuff myself I drink a good bit of that.

Being an "Army Brat" I've traveled the states and it's hard adapting to the dialect, you just get used to the way you're supposed to sound compared to your peers and then boom your moving somewhere else... The pop/soda thing always puts me up for a good ribbing among friends, it's pop here in Ohio [;)]

I havn't had one in almost 2 years now. Water, Gatorade, and milk.

Quoted: its pop and i drink too many. View Quote Same here. I drink probably 3-4 on a week day, 5 or 5 on the weekends. Being 14 with a good metabolism is awesome. |

I voted for "Whats a soda? Do you mean pop?" because you didn't have my answer: "I don't drink soda/coke/pop/etc"
you didn't even have "less than one" for the people who only have one every couple of days or so. |
I drink up to 6 Dews/day.
Sgtar15, dave223 and Bytethebullet have ordered me off the stuff. I feel calmer already. |
5-6 ussually a day, but I am trying to cut it out completely. I had only one today so it was a small victory.
