House Passes War Funding Bill. Why are other countries getting billions of US Taxpayers Dollars?

http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20090617/ap_on_go_co/us_congress_war_funds

The $106 billion measure

$80 billion for military operations
$7.7 billion to respond to the flu pandemic (In the US? What response? Mandatory Flu Vaccinations from which the Drug Companies will profit?)
$10 billion in development and security aid for Pakistan and Iraq as well as countries such as Mexico and the nation of Georgia.
$5 billion in the measure to secure a $108 billion U.S. line of credit to the International Monetary Fund for loans to poor countries
$1 billion to fund government rebates for consumers who trade in their old vehicles for more fuel-efficient models.
$534 million for 185,000 service members who have had their enlistments involuntarily extended
$7 billion in "add-ons," funds not sought by the Pentagon.
$2.17 billion for eight C-17 transport planes.

Because helping Pakistan beat the Taliban, and aid to Iraq are both in our national interest...

How about letting our nation be our national interest instead of policing the world and being in a constant state or war?

And how do you justify Mexico, Georgia and the IMF? What boogeymen are there? Taliban? No.

Isolationist stupidity has gotten far more Americans killed by 'putting off' wars until they could no longer be avoided, than any intervention ever will...

The fact is, that what goes on around the world is CRITICAL to stability back home...

Georgia? Balancing Russian influence in Europe...

Mexico? Should be obvious...

I'm no fan of the IMF, but the more control we have over them right now, the better - given rumblings about the Russians & Chinese wanting to use them as an alternative to T-bills (if the US 'owns' the IMF, that's another lever to keep the world on the T-bill)....
