No pics, but I've got a '67 Mustang fastback with a 390 and C6.  I've got a 428 block & crank for it, too.  Sometime in the next few years that's going to be put together and mated to a Tremec TKO and bolted into the 'stang.

I just sold a 1997 Pontiac Formula WS6.

Very fast car. But in the 5 years I had it I blew countless speakers in the factory 500W "Monsoon" stereo system.  After a 125+ MPH Vegas run the intake manifold develeped a leak and had to be replaced.  If you washed the car in a pressure car was the windshield would leak and soak the carpet on the driver's side. Pontiac tried to fix the problem several times, never could. The tail lamps were inproperly fittied when new. that was easy to fix, but then a tail lamp burnt out at the 5 year mark. All paint fades over time & the plastic bumper paint faded faster than the composit hoods paint. So it was mismatched by year four.

I will never buy another Pontiac. My next sports car will be an Acura, Lexus, or BMW.

This is the street rod I sold a few weeks ago to help finance the move to Texas.
A *real* rod.
'41 Chevy 3/4 ton Wurlitzer pickup.
'66 Vette 327, built Powerglide, 12 bolt posi rear, subframed, front discs, rack and pinion, 6" megaphone exhaust, leather elctric buckets, Cragars, and L-50s out back. Windshield cranked open. Hubby and I built it frame off in the backyard 7 years ago. Was a daily driver.....even had studded snows for winter. Utterly friggin unique. Would do 140 in the flying mile.
Damn I miss this truck already. *sniff*

In 1969 all 429 Mustangs were the "Boss" correct?
Otherwise the Mach 1 with a big block was the 428.

I have a 1970 Chevelle Malibu. Its going under a 1 year restoration in a couple weeks.I've owned it for 5 years. Its going to be made into an SS clone and recieve a cowl induction hood. I'm having it painted black with white stripes. I'm having the front suspension rebuilt. Going to replace old rubber bushings with polyurithane bushings. Upgrading to power assist disc brakes also. Correct, you can shoehorn a "385 series"429 into a 69/70 mustang if you get 71mustang/torino motor mounts and some headers from Hooker.  The grabber orange 71 Torino looks sweet.  I had a grabber blue 70SCJ Torino with shaker, flip-up headlight doors, and a fourspeed.  The beast weighed in at almost 3900 pounds which really hurt it compared to the 3200 pounds of my cobra jet mustangs. Now I am middle age and drive a volvo stationwagon, do you guys really want a picture of that?

Sniped,
My boss at work bought a 96 Z-28 for a girlfriend.  It sat in his garage until he sold it to me.  That's why it has low miles.  He had to make room for a 64 corvette.

I'm not a big fan of nitrous.  I'm more of a head & cam kind of guy.  I like the power to be there anytime I hit the pedal instead of the button. [smile]

Nice GTA by the way.  I always loved that body style.  I've always liked the styling on the Firebirds & Trans Ams instead of the Camaros.  I wouldn't have bought my Z28 if it hadn't been a good deal.

I have the car of all cars. I'm speaking of the 1970 Chevy Chevelle of course.

Mine is just a Malibu, but I'm gonna put SS badges on it when I paint it. Hell it'll be faster then an SS when I'm done with it anyway, so I don't look at it as false advertising. She is blue with a white vinyl top and thick white strips on the hood and decklid. She has a worked 350 that puts out about 325 hp. Turbo 350 trans and a 3.73 rear. My goal is to have a daily driver that will do mid 13's in the quarter.

That sounds Damn expensive. I'm having my 70 Chevelle go under a 1 years bodywork, supension and switch to disk brakes restoration within the next week or so. At the rate I'm going I'll have $20,000 in that car in the next couple of years. It sure adds up[:D]

Hopefully I'll be able to post some pics here soon too.

Main problem - I have yet to get a new set of wheels! [:(]

However, I've got a line on two different cars I'm trying to decide between.

Car #1: A '65 Mercury Comet Wagon that needs a new windshield. I'm thinking of making it look kinda like the one in this pic:

Car #2: A 2-door '68 Buick Skylark that needs a new fender & bumper, and (obviously) a paint job.

I'm leaning towards the Wagon though...

Any thoughts?

I do not currently have a "hot Rod" because I sold my mosst recent edition the week before the attacks. It was an '84 Z28 that I Purchased in 1991 wrecked bad in front and I rebuilt totally I then TPI'd and added PBR rear disc's/posi IROC wheels and ground FX, and 36mm front stabilizer.  Also homemade stru tower brace. tranny was a built 700. This car had a ton of torque and was a blast to drive!

I am keeping an eye out for the right 4th gen F body (Camaro or Firebird/TA) to buy and keep for my son.

My current "Hot Rod" is a Jamis mountain bike that I have over $3500 invested in.

other cars:
'71 Olds Cutlass Supreme SX 455 ci (I put 80,000 miles on this car in 2 1/2 years and sold it for $500 in 1981 :()
'69 Camaro 350 (R/R'd the staight 6 myself)
'81 Olds Cutlass Supreme (shoe horned a 454 into this baby)
'93 Z28/6 speed+posi (ordered it new in '93, sold it in '99 with 95,000 miles on the odo)
