The kind served at Chinese restaraunts. Kind of red looking with pepper seeds in it.

HOT, I love it.

Last night I got some with an order of twice cooked pork . I left the small plastic container sitting on the counter after dinner.

This morning, the oil had come through the container (happens here allot) and was all over the counter.

I was wondering, if that will do that to the container, what effect will it have on me????

Well, no problem with the intake end....or the processing unit...but when time to you know what

HOLEE FARKIN' HELL

But, I love the stuff.

Anyone know how to make it? What's the best oil to use, peppers and how to cook it?

Danny

P.S. Anyone got any Asbestos TP?

I like to do that too.

But, the take out places won't give but so much out with a meal.

If you order something extra hot and spicy, they add a little to the food. Then I get extra.

Kind of makes you wonder how much of the plastic from the container is dissolved in the oil when you put it into your food.

They need to use different containers.

Recipe I found off the net works for us, living with Hawaiians provides me with ample latitude in my cooking.

INGREDIENTS:

3/4 cup vegetable or peanut oil (not olive oil)
1/4 cup sesame oil
4 hot red chili peppers or more if you like it>>>>
1/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional)
PREPARATION:

Cut the chili pepper in half lengthwise. Remove the seeds and chop coarsely.

Heat the vegetable and the sesame oil over low heat. Add the chopped chili peppers. Simmer, uncovered, over low heat until the oil turns red. Stir in the cayenne pepper if using. Cook for another 2 to 3 minutes.

Remove the chili oil from the heat. Cool and strain. Store in a sealed jar in the refrigerator. (The oil will last for several months). Use as a seasoning or dipping sauce.

VTHOKIESHOOTER:

I am trying to recover from the 2 bowls of chili I had for dinner. Going to be a rough morning.

It was touch and go for me for a couple hours this morning (not wiping, but patting). You know I can put away the food, especially the hot stuff after the Mex. Rest. ordeal in C'burg.

LRT:

I have printed that off and I'm going to try it tomorrow. I have most of the ingredients. I hope my ass can take it.

Thank you.

Danny

I think the waiter was in awe with how many baskets of tortilla chips were consumed- not including the hot salsa,  quacamole sauce, and enchelladas.

thats where the restaurants get it

There is one market that has some that has peanuts in it, small jar like $3.

Not the same as the chinese rest. in Mad. Heights has. They have like a gallon of the stuff on the buffet. Manager said it's made there.

How I judge a good chinese restaruant:

They make their own hot mustard and hot pepper oil.

Duck sauce (plum sauce) comes in pails around here, seen that.

I like it hot but not to where you can not taste what you eat. I eat towards the traditional asian dishes. Try a beef stew from a true viet restraunt. Hot with flavor. Now at home I grow caynee peppers and take those peppers when they are riped and cook some down in olive oil. I let it soak after a hour or two then discark the peppers out the oil. Now i have olive oil with a little kick. great for salads.
