Hoopes = leaks it is tradition.
What is so hard about understanding that you get a bottle and it will get all over? It is just the way it is or transfer it to another bottle. |

What kind of Hoppes are we talking about?
This bottle of gun oil tends to leak a little, but not a lot - http://www.midwayusa.com/product/126157/hoppes-9-gun-oil-2-1-4-oz-liquid This bottle of solvent never leaks though

That is not a leak, that is so you can splash it on for aftershave.

I got one that doesn't leak. Cap screws on tight and doesn't over tighten and pop off the threads. I reuse it and keep filling it when I run out.
I think it works just fine as a solvent. But I have still looked out for an affordable alternative to avoid this problem and have an easier way of applying it to patches. I'll pay more for good lubricant like TW-25b but won't pay for over priced solvent. |

It's a helluva lot cheaper @ the PX if yours stocks it. It doesn't leak, however, all the way to Iraq & back, C-130's, C-17s, etc. Gig 'em, backbencher |
